First time at Edge today. Michael cut my hair beautifully. It was very long and straggly and is now shoulder length with all the bounce and curl I wanted. His experience really showed. He listened to what I wanted and I trusted he knew how to cut my hair type to get the style I wanted - he didn't disappoint. He also took the time to explain how to apply a particular product to get the most curl out of my hair when I let it dry naturally. Also, no pushy sales either. Really happy.

I had my first visit with Michael today and he was fantastic! The haircut I described and showed him was exactly what I got. He was responsive and attentive and answered all of my questions with regard to my face/head shape. The resultant cut is easy to maintain and minimal styling required.

I chose this hairdresser because I look at reviews online. I read reviews to find out more about the actual end result, so for Michael, hands down, best haircut I've had!

Had my first cut and colour with Jennie last week, I am very happy with the results. The cut was exactly what I wanted and I took Jennie's advice re the colour and I frickin love it! A lovely salon that isn't overly noisy and has a relaxing feel. Jennie is a genuinely nice gal and an amazing hairdresser! One very happy customer here :)

Jennie from Edge has been cutting my hair for a few years now. Although I'm a guy with short hair and my haircut is pretty basic, she always does a good job. Cracks me up with her hilarious sense of humour too. I always leave in a good mood. :-)

They are usually busy so make an appointment well in advance.

As a man, I found the staff incredibly sexist. I walked in, smiled, said hello and asked when the next appointment was. The 2 female staff members at the counter gave me a dirty look and said they would check. One answered a phone call, at which point she suddenly became very warm and accomodating to the female on the other end of the phone, while the other just stood there doing nothing. About 10 minutes passed with them refusing to make any eye contact with me. Eventually I just said I would go somewhere else, instead of telling me when the next available day was they just said in an incredibly rude tone "okay sorry bye". They were clearly glad to rid of me. I am 25 years old with short hair, and am in not in any way disgusting. I can only put this down to sexism.

I have been coming to Edge for over a decade and always leave with a great cut. They have a great team who always go the extra mile to get a great result.

I have been holding off writing a review as it seemed too good to be true. Finally i found a salon who do a great cut and colour, are not pretentious, are friendly and really listen to what you want as well as offering terrific service. It will be my fourth visit today and i have been very happy to have found Edge. 5 stars.

Visited edge for the first time yesterday - Jenny did absolute wonders on my hair! Came in with a weird orangey color and left with an amazing blonde! Will definitely be coming back here, great service at a reasonable price!

Had my hair done at Edge recently for the first time and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was cool and calm, the staff was the right mix of friendly and professional, and they did wonders with my hair, which was in pretty bad shape. I'm really happy with my cut and colour and I'm looking forward to going back.

I have been going to Michael for haircuts and to Krystal for colour for many years--they are terrific! To start, they combine just the right mix of listening to my preferences with gentle advice based on their experience (+face shape, skin colour, lifestyle, etc). and have always come up with just the right cut and colour--absolutely brilliant. Michael sets the tone/atmosphere in the shop-- all the staff are customer-oriented, friendly, competent--they remember names and circumstances and make one feel "home". Sometimes I quietly read during procedures, but mostly, I enjoy the intelligent conversations which can range from politics and the state of the world to family, sports, and everyday activities. Free parking is just outside the door, and grocery shopping (IGA), café food, a chemist, and a PO are just a door or two away.

Being a blonde it's hard to find the perfect colourist that leaves me walking out of the salon feeling satisfied. It's either too yellow or uneven. Krystal gave me the most AMAZING blonde colour I will never go anywhere else! Thanks Krystal! I'm so happy!

This is my third time living in ACT. I used to travel to Sydney to have cut and colour. No more!! Jaime and Michael are amazing. Fabulous cut and colour! Always feel very glamorous when I leave.

Krystal has been cutting and colouring my hair for 3yrs and I always feel extremely confident that I'll be thrilled with the results. Michael has also styled my hair with wonderful results. They aren't the cheapest but you definitely get value for money, I wouldn't go anywhere else in Canberra.

I felt like a new woman after Michael cut my hair the first time! With his talent in considering my head and face shape and the texture of my hair and how it grew, I now had a new, personalised style that was easy for me to replicate at home.

Thanks to Jamie, too, for her skilled colouring touches...they were a definite complement to the whole new "look".

From my first visit many years ago, right up to today, I've never had a bad experience. Krystle nails my colour and cut everytime. In fact, she gets better with each visit. She is an absolute attribute to the business, not only do I come back for the experice, I come for the chats and laughter. The prices are well in line with the service you receive.
