As a man, I found the staff incredibly sexist. I walked in, smiled, said hello and asked when the next appointment was. The 2 female staff members at the counter gave me a dirty look and said they would check. One answered a phone call, at which point she suddenly became very warm and accomodating to the female on the other end of the phone, while the other just stood there doing nothing. About 10 minutes passed with them refusing to make any eye contact with me. Eventually I just said I would go somewhere else, instead of telling me when the next available day was they just said in an incredibly rude tone "okay sorry bye". They were clearly glad to rid of me. I am 25 years old with short hair, and am in not in any way disgusting. I can only put this down to sexism.

I have been holding off writing a review as it seemed too good to be true. Finally i found a salon who do a great cut and colour, are not pretentious, are friendly and really listen to what you want as well as offering terrific service. It will be my fourth visit today and i have been very happy to have found Edge. 5 stars.

Visited edge for the first time yesterday - Jenny did absolute wonders on my hair! Came in with a weird orangey color and left with an amazing blonde! Will definitely be coming back here, great service at a reasonable price!

Had my hair done at Edge recently for the first time and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was cool and calm, the staff was the right mix of friendly and professional, and they did wonders with my hair, which was in pretty bad shape. I'm really happy with my cut and colour and I'm looking forward to going back.

I have been going to Michael for haircuts and to Krystal for colour for many years--they are terrific! To start, they combine just the right mix of listening to my preferences with gentle advice based on their experience (+face shape, skin colour, lifestyle, etc). and have always come up with just the right cut and colour--absolutely brilliant. Michael sets the tone/atmosphere in the shop-- all the staff are customer-oriented, friendly, competent--they remember names and circumstances and make one feel "home". Sometimes I quietly read during procedures, but mostly, I enjoy the intelligent conversations which can range from politics and the state of the world to family, sports, and everyday activities. Free parking is just outside the door, and grocery shopping (IGA), café food, a chemist, and a PO are just a door or two away.
