The Elim tailor is charming and does a perfect job on pant hems (even with different length legs), streamlining to curvy bodies, or altering cuffs and sleeves. I think there's nothing she can't do. My personal favourite Elim characteristic is that my pants are never too short. She doesn't hem them too long either, but if this happened it is far preferable to the reverse, even if the customer has to pay full price again. Such things are not unusual in alterationsland. Be good to your tailor, in other shops if you raise the slightest issue, you will find your next alteration hideously ill-fitting and the garment ruined forever. Fortunately such questions never arise in the first place with Elim. We often pay a little bit more for food or other products in the city as rents are higher. At Elim this is also reflected in the quality.

DODGY. I paid $35 to have pants taken up, and they still touched the floor. Anyone with a baby knows it can be tricky to run errands like this, so it ended up taking me about 2 months to get back in - granted it is partially my own fault (& of course they didn't give me a receipt & it's cash only), but they showed no compassion & told me I'd have to pay full price again. Dodgy and a rip off.

I had to get a hole stitched up in an old favorite pair of jeans. Job well done- was not happy with what I was charged for such a small Job!

I took a dress to this shop to get the straps taken up. The service was quite expensive - it cost more that $20 to have the straps taken up. However, the alteration was done quite quickly.
