I have been going to Emerald since they started at Southern River. I have difficult hair very fine, but Denise works wonders with it. I am so thankful she knows how to deal with it. It is a nice friendly atmosphere, and a relaxing place to be. Cannot fault the service. Coffee and tea available if required, what more could you want. Betty

When you regularly look in the mirror and give your own hair a really big smile, you know you are onto a winning hairdresser. The cut is great, the colour is fantastic and my hair has never been healthier, thanks to the staff at Emerald Hair Design. They really listen to what you want and also give brilliant advice when you are not sure what you want. Love it!

I had a very bad experience in this salon and although the staff were lovely, i wouldn't recommend going to this salon for balayage or to go blonde from dark hair. I had burgundy hair and was told by the hairdresser that using olaplex would maintain my hairs health and wouldn't damage it, however after leaving the salon the 2nd time i was left with chunks of hair missing and the worst balayage job i had ever seen. It looked more like chunks of regrowth everywhere and was about 5 different shades on blonde. Aftee my first appointment i was left with a huge orange ring around my head, so i went back to have that fixed and left so upset. I chose not to go back to have it fixed as i couldn't risk her ruining my hair anymore. I went to a home salon who was thankfully able to make it look much better, however she showed me the damage the other hairdresser did and i wanted to cry! I am left with about half the thickness i once had and $500 poorer. I would not recommend this salon!!

Have had a treatment and a hair cut recently. very friendly staff, excellent service and styles, reasonable prices, relaxing décor, will definitely use their services regularly.

Have had a semi permanent and cut here, and was very happy with the results. The girls were very friendly and listened to what i wanted and did exactly that. The salon was clean and welcoming. plenty of new updated magazines to read as well which is always a bonus. Reasonably priced. i would visit again.

Denise and the girls are GREAT, they do your hair the way you want it not as they think it should be. The green decor is WONDERFUL and fresh,they supply little covers for your reading glasses so no dye on the arms of them, and the BEST they dont over chat .
