My colleague recommended me this park. It was the first time when I touched wallabies and koalas. Encounters with animals are not very big and it was quite crowded on the usual weekend (not during school holiday). Anyway I fed wallabies and it was exciting. There is take-away place with reasonable prices and variety of food. I would recommended to go there with kids.
I came here 2 weeks ago with a friend from the US. It was relaly great being able to touch many of the animals, including wallabies, kangaroo, emu, goats, sheep, cows and getting up close to many other ones. Spend about 2 hours here. Kids will enjoy this place.
A great place for kids & adults as well if you want to get close to the animals.
We came here because my daughter's friend wanted to get close to the Australian mammals like the kangaroo & koala but we had more close encounters than that. Amazing experience for adults as well as kids & spent 2 hours here. There are picnic areas as well as a cafe & you can buy food to feed the animals for $1.
Approximate cost: $27
Yes, or you can probably also find unfinished food on the ground to feed to the animals.
This one of my favourite places to visit with my grandchildren and their families. The layout is great. They allow you hold a Koala and take photos. Amazing birds and kids love the crocodile and baby animal area and if you go online to their website you can discount vouchers.
I do like how you can hold a koala. If they're awake, it's even better.
very affordable, my 2 yr old loved it. got to take a photos with the koala's and kangeroo's. awsome place to take the kids.
Approximate cost: $54
I agree. Kids will love it!
A good place for both adults and kids. Informative talks about the animals, so it is educational for kids. Have taken my grandkids here twice, and they have enjoyed themselves.
Approximate cost: $27
What a great day - for young and old.
Friendly well set out animal park where getting up close with the animals is all around you. From the minute you walk in where you see a rare albino kookaburra to hand feeding the Kangaroos and Wallabies.
The staff that do the talks on each animal throughout the day are friendly and very knowledgable.
We left wanting to come back.
Featherdale car park is not that large but they have a car park just across the street which has plenty of parking and there is a pedestrian crossing for you to walk across the road.
Public transport to hear is very easy as well.
I agree, the parking is easy. If they run out of space at the place, you can park opposite.
My toddlers have a ball here... poor wallaby's don't know what's hit them , appreciate the vouchers advertised regularly to make this a fantastic, enjoyable and affordable day out
We took our grand-children aged 2 & 4 here yesterday and they had a great time. There are many animal's, birds and reptiles to see. Some of which you can get up close to and touch and feed. In fact feeding the Kangaroos was a hi-light for the 4 year old as the Kangaroo food was in a ice cream cone and he thought that was so special we had to send a photo and story for news today.
The staff were friendly helpful and informative. It would be a great place for tourists to visit to view Australian natives up close.
Approximate cost: $27 adult $15 child 3-15
The reason I want to go is the up close and personal aspect, which this place is famous for.
Took my 3 year old here. She absolutely loved it. Very interactive and amazingly active animals. I would recommend this place to anyone.
