I have mixed feelings about this place. Easier to itemise the pros and cons. The fans r 2 close to u wen working out. Hot & cold sensations r not good wen working out. A person can end up quite ill as I have been, twice actually because of this. The Membership lady is quite pushy and even commented once as 2 y I have not had friends come and/or join up. I receive annoying emails if I have not been 4 a week. The closing hours r ridiculous and close way 2 early Friday (7pm) & Saturday (3pm) Not even open on Sundays! The plus side, staff r great, can come & go as I please, use any gym facility I wish, use the little kitchen area which have complimentary tea & coffee facilities, magazines and seating. Very clean changing room, toilets & showers. U get your own locker (members only) and nice toiletries 2 use However I am thinking of joining anothe gym close 2 me also which is open 24hrs a day, seven days a week.

I tried 2 Fernwoods, this one and Mitcham and Mitcham was much friendlier. The new membership lady at Bulleen is really pushy and uses pressure tactics to get you to join as well as calling you up multiple times a day. I do not recomment this gym at all.

I got right royally ripped off by the manager at this gym. I was quite happy there and had paid a full year's membership, in good faith - that when I got a job, if I couldn't find a Fernwood nearby I would get the remained of my years membership refunded less an admin fee. When I found a job, with no Fernwood nearby - and notified them - the manager refused my refund, told me the staff member who had assured me that I would get a refund in that circumstance had just left and to read the small print. Appalling. I will never join a Fernwood again.

Yes I dread the gym as well but the women at Fernwood Bulleen make me get of the couch and sweat away on the treadmill. Anne who I first met when I joined nearly one year ago still comes and says Hi and uses my first name. The instructors are great and have fantastic knowledge of fitness.
Its also nice that when you walk in you dont have to fight the muscle men to get to machines.
Also in the bathroom there are nice amenities so you can freshen up after a work out

I have been going here for a few months and love it. The staff here are very helpful and friendly. Nothing is of trouble to them. If I have had any queries, they are more than happy to answer them. The staff always great me whenever I am there. The instructors are fantastic, in particular Caroline and Julia. I love going to Zumba and Pilates. I only wish they had body balance classes at Bulleen. They are a bit pricey than many other gyms but, they provide quality service, breakfast, lockers and beauty products such as deoderant and hairdryers. Plus it's women only so there are no men, so women can feel at ease and so not have to worry about men having a perve. I find classes have a mixture of age groups which, is fantastic. I will continue to attend this gym.
