Had my first laser tattoo removal session today. I was worried about nothing. It was so quick (whilst I sucked on a lollipop yum) and the 'pain' wasn't what I'd call pain. Totally bearable (without numbing cream.) I would describe the feeling perhaps like a static scratchy sensation. Honestly I don't even remember it that much. I've experienced intense PAIN whilst undergoing IPL hair removal on delicate parts of my body NOT with tattoo removal. Admittedly my tatt is small so I can envisage treatment for a larger tattoo to be more sensitive after a while, but still wouldn't clasify it as pain.
Dani was fabulous. She's researched enough to have the best laser on the market (picosure) which significantly reduces the number of sessions overall. I was impressed with her extensive knowledge with post treatment aftercare as she has affiliated herself with drs and Alfred Hospital burns unit. My tattoo was extremely fresh when I first saw Dani and she insisted a minimum 8wk wait before treatment to ensure my skin was completely healed (even though it was healed on the surface.) She emphasized this to avoid any form of scarring. After treatment today I had a cold pack on it for a while and my skin looks great. Most of greywash fine lines have already disappeared. My skin looks and feels fine. I wouldn't go anywhere else for laser tatt removal and believe me I did my research in this field and have had consultations elsewhere. Prices at First Impressions were also reasonable compaired to other places. Bring on the next session!!

Mandy and the team at first impressions are so wonderful! I've just had my third session on a tattoo removal in my rib cage and it is clearing so fast with no scaring. They are incredible attentive and thorough and every time I go for a treatment they are patient and always answer any questions I have. Cannot recommend them enough. I've heard some horror stories with laser removal from friends but mine has been an absolute breeze. Pain is tolerable and they take regular breaks with ice if you're feeling uncomfortable.

I have recently had my first session at First Impressions for a tattoo on my left rib cage, a tattoo that yes I never should have got however I am so thankful for the services that First Impressions can provide.

I have been seeing the girls at First Impressions Laser Clinic at their clinic located in Smith Street, Collingwood. I am to say the least super happy with service I receive. From day one I have always felt comfortable with the level of care and time taken for my treatment. I feel more than confident that I can ask for a break if I need to during treatment (there is absolutely no hurry, it is about me being comfortable). At every step of the process I am provided with detailed explanations and any questions I have are answered. My tattoo is moving but is being a little stubborn but I am still extremely happy. The girls even had my case reviewed by the expert PicoSure clinical team to ascertain whether the latest PicoSure technology 'boost' update would be beneficial to my tattoo. I have been seeing Mandy at First Impressions since August 2014, for both PicoSure tattoo removal and PicoSure Focus laser rejuvenation services.

I had been previously going to a well known laser and skin clinic in the suburbs for my laser tattoo removal, and was not happy with the service I was receiving. I would see a different person every appointment, and there was absolutely no personalisation of my tattoo removal treatments based on my results. I was also paying top dollar for these treatments. After six months, I knew it was time to move on.

I was first made aware of First Impressions via Pete Sherrington of The Piercing Urge – Pete absolutely raved about the clinic, and Pete is a man who knows his stuff. I made my first appointment at First Impressions soon thereafter.

For my first appointment, I booked to have a small area treated. And that is all it took for me to be a convert to First Impressions, and leave the old behind. Mandy has since been taking amazing care of me.

Mandy is now currently treating three tattoos – one on my arm, one on my leg, and one on my foot. I am seeing excellent results thus far. Once these have fully cleared, I will be commencing treatment on several tattoos on my back.

I have also had several PicoSure Focus laser rejuvenation treatments done on my face to treat a myriad of issues – some scarring and hyperpigmentation being the primary issues. However, I have also been seeing a remarkable difference in my rosacea – even though PicoSure Focus is not specifically designed nor marketed as a treatment for rosacea, I have seen a drastic improvement in my skin. This was a completely unexpected result. Aside from that, the PicoSure Focus treatment has successfully improved the appearance of a number of scars on my face (including some old piercing holes) and scars from prior surgery. I have also had some surgical scars on my body treated, and have also had impressive results there.

Overall, I am absolutely thrilled with the treatment I have been receiving at First Impressions. First and foremost is the service – Mandy goes out of her way to provide an exceptional service, getting to know you as a client, and tailoring your laser sessions accordingly to maximise your results. There is also a strong focus when it comes to maintaining their equipment, staying up to date with the latest training and techniques, and doing any research needed for individual clients.

And most importantly – both Mandy and Dani of First Impressions are fully accredited by the manufacturer of PicoSure, Cynosure, to perform PicoSure laser treatments.

I was referred to First Impressions Laser Clinic by a colleague from work and it was the best tip ever!

I had a tattoo on my right shoulder that I got done in the early 90's, it was an eye sore and I had been wanting to get it removed for years but I wasn't sure about the whole laser thing.

I bit the bullet and booked in at First Impressions. Firstly, the staff are so friendly that it made me feel really comfortable straight away. They explained everything to me in detail so I knew what to expect.

The actual laser itself took less than a minute, I was really surprised how quick it was and more importantly how it actually didn't hurt much at all! (Not half as bad as actually getting a tattoo!).

After my first session I could already see my tattoo fading away! You have to wait for 6 weeks before you can go back for another session (this is so that your body can break down the ink etc).

I went back for my second session last week and I can't believe that already in a week it is fading even more. I will be tattoo free by the summer!

I would totally recommend First Impressions to everyone that is thinking of getting a tattoo removed!
