I was really quite disappointed with this. When you think of Brighton, you think high quality and class, and, although this place is huge, it looks more like a giant advertising campaign. Plenty of equipment but some of it is looking a bit old.
I bought a 'trial' period from them, and was really annoyed at how rude and pushy they were.
Satisfactory gym, but definitely nothing to write home about.
Expensive gym! But top notch in terms of equipment and classes etc. New machines and heaps of them. Gets busy around 6ish but dies down after 8pm. Parking is a nightmare around here though!
Expensive as is typical of all things Brighton lol
Gym is well stocked with machines. Machines are not always very well maintained.
Big corporate gym that's full of adverts, promotions and TVs - ok if you like that sort of thing
Approximate cost: $120
I found the staff to be friendly. A little bit pushy when wanting you to join.
The sales staff were happy to help find a plan to suit you in joining. THey gave you time to go and think about it.
The gym is great. The facilities look fantastic. There is a huge selection of different classes over the week. THere is the choice of cardio, weights or classes.
Approximate cost: $60 per month for a year's contract
Fitness First have recently bought the gym - it used to be Brighton Beach. FF have upgraded all the equipment, introduced additional bikes for the Spin classes and renovated the gym. It is a much better gym than it used to be under the Brighton Beach banner.
Approximate cost: $69 per month
