I've been there once just for the "experience". Excellent ambiance and world-class service. There is a "persona" waiter serving you throughout the meal. The place is not crowded as well. Food variety and quality are good. The price is exorbitant, but that is no surprise for the brand-name.

For me this is a very special occasion restaurant. I can't afford to eat there so have only been with my parents - they took me there after my graduation and for a big birthday. The food is amazing - especially the peking duck which is as close to the duck I had in china that I've ever had in Melbourne. Fantastic service!

This is a very expensive chinese restaurant but I must say the service is exceptional- but then it could be due to the fact that my boss knows the owner well. I've heard a lot about this place and how exclusive it is etc. So I was extremely excited when my Managing director decided to treat us lunch at that place. We had abalone, peking duck, shark fin soup but I must say the standout was the pearl meat. It was so tender yet chewy and so delicate.

Went once, and went back - this place is great, the food is awesome and the service was competent and friendly though I guess it helps when you order lots and drink lots and they see the dollar signs turning.

this is definitely a legendary resturant, and we were not dissapointed at all! from the food, the service and the price, they all amazing!! supreme chinese food with elegance.

This is not your everyday restaurant. This is an exceptional restaurant in everyway. The food and service is amazing but it also has a price tag to match. if you want to spoil yourself on some unbelievable food, this is the place. I would recommend Flower Drum for any lovers of Chinese food.

I went here with some friends and it was so expensive !! twelve people at a cost of $1900. Now do not get me wrong ,the service was very attentive and professional. But been a vegetarian I could not justify the money on the food, but at the same time it was lovely I can't complain. But for a vegetarian I think you can get better value for money elsewhere.

Always excellent food and service - but go with your credit card. Best idea with a group is to get a private room, especially when going for business reasons
