I have been to the flying fish on numerous occassions, the staff are friendly, polite, and always double check your order before placing your order, you have to wait a little while for it to be cooked but defently worth the wait. Yum Yum

I was extremely disappointed when I ate here given their good reviews. Firstly, the service was shocking, the person who served me just stared at me blankly and didn't even say hello or ask what I would like. They then forgot my order and had to get me to repeat it, and also didn't remember what drink I asked for (when only ordering a few small things). I disregarded this and hoped that the food would be good. I took the food down to the beach with my partner and to my surprise they had forgotton half of my order and I ended up with just chips for lunch... I was NOT impressed as it was too late/too far to drive back. The chips were absolutely disgusting also, they were too greasy and had NO salt on them, and I mean literally NO salt.. How you forget to put salt on chips is beyond me!! I ate half of my partner's potato cake until we threw the other half out.. It was a cheap frozen one which hadn't been cooked properly and was soggy.. It was so disgusting. Again, no salt. I was so disappointed with the quality and service of this place and I will definitely not be going back there again. It's sad to think that a fish and chip shop so close to the beach is terrible compared to the fish and chip shops I've been eating for years at up in the Dandenongs!

The food here is always fresh. The fish melts in your mouth, the burgers taste fantastic and the chips are crispy. Sometimes there is a wait so it's a good idea to phone through your order.

Have only had a few items from here, the Hercules Burger which was wicked and surprisingly for this style of Fish and Chip shop they make some pretty good Souvas, we were pleasantly surprised. Phone ordered to be picked and is always ready for the time they quote. Staff seem friendly enough but are just a bunch of kids just doing a job really, no different to any service you would expect in a MacDonalds outlet, which again isnt much to expect at all.

Most of the time there are teenagers running the place, but the generally do a good job. The food has, most of the time, been pretty nice! It can be greasy but then you can't expect much else from fish n chips...

The food is really great, good variety, freshly cooked. The service is good too, you can call your order in beforehand rather than waiting around for it to be cooked, and the value for money is great.
