An amazing institution which provides actual industry experience and a recognised qualification in this technical and creative field. There are a range of Certificates and Diploma courses and all are taught by experienced staff who really encourage students to spread their wings and see what they can do.

Students are required to learn all areas of the industry - camera work, editing, screenplay writing, catering, sound and lighting ... but of course each person has their own special talent and then can concentrate on this. Each student makes their own film and it's real world experience - casting, film shoots, costumes, sets, locations, editing and then a showing. You can't buy the experience of actually "doing it" - it has to be seen to be believed how each student grows into their particular passion.

The administration is excellent, they really care about each student. The equipment is state of the art and the whole complex is located within Footscray City College with all its associated facilities.

Fees can range up to $4,000 for the longest courses. But then for what it provides and the links to film and television work, this seems quite fair.

A great place for the creative youngster to gain experience and knowledge to springboard them into their chosen career.

Approximate cost: $3,000
