Lots of repetition and paying to watch adverts, add to that they move all new tv series in with movies to charge you more (showcase)... With the improvements in free to air, foxtel is no longer the essential service it was, only good thing is when you go to leave they offer you huge discounts..

Replaced our broken Foxtel box in less than 5 minutes and also pointed out some tips of what was wrong with our LCD TV and was incredibly polite. Thank you Mr Foxtel Technician. Your Call Centre could learn some lessosn from you.

I have grown to dislike Foxtel and all it stands for, while currently a customer i will certainly not be renewing my subscription past the contract date. Too many repeats, Too many Ads and it has generally got to the point where free to air has to be better than what im paying for.

been a customer for over 3 years now and i love it. Customized my package whenever i like, always have a technician out next business day when Ive had problems, are clear and polite on the phone and will keep my service with them connected!

Technical support - had had faults over the past 6 months with an IQ box which has now failed. It will take 4 days!! to get a technician to check and/or replace IQ Box. We will get compensation for the days out of service but tough luck if we loose any recorded programs. What do we pay for?? The person I spoke to was very apologetic but that doesn't really change the situation. The service quality is very poor for the money paid.

Foxtel just unique, and can not be replaced, i also found their self-produced advertising is getting much and much better now. Fast movie order process and their movies are always the newest!

We had Foxtel installed years ago, cancelled it when I was on the dole but now I am retired, have had it reinstalled. I think it is a marvelous innovation especially with the IQ box. This allows you to record programs at unearthly hours in the morning, such as darts from the UK. It also enables you to record a linked series by setting the unit up once only and it will record each ensuing episode automatically. If you happen to miss a program or a movie, chances are that it will be on again at a later date so you can choose the option of watching it or recording it. We have the full package and it is great to view old movies free of ads most of the time, kids programs to keep the grand kids entertained, and live cricket and football usually hours before they make time to televise them on free to air. It was a real bummer though, when the Ovation channel was withdrawn and now has to be paid for separately. Bad Luck. Not this little black duck, but overall we view Foxtel more now than we ever had before and it is much better than most of the rubbish served up on free to air. A winner.

When Selectv stopped there pay tv service, Foxtel offered to provide a "similar" service for a similar price. I've often steered clear of Foxtel because of there monopolistic position. The only way for me to get Fox Sports was to subscribe to Foxtel - what a shame. Far too expensive. It'd be nice to have a little competition in this area.
The sales staff are very pushy and the "deals" are never as good as they seem.
Lucky the Jets are now performing well - it's ALMOST a good reason to pay $44 per month ... hmmm

Total mess trying to get installation, got transfered to several departments over 4 days with promises to call back which never happened.Gave up in the end had it years ago and was good prior to ads now customer service has put a permanent end to ever reconecting
