I didnt know dealing with an irate Irishman would lead to this,all materials were supplied by Paul, I told Paul to supply the correct bearer size 90 x 70mm but he said 2 70x45mm put together would suffice that was supplied on site.
Not my way of doing it correctly.
Quite a bit of exaduration on his part to make me look bad but theres more to the story, I gave him a great labour price but the problem was he wanted all these extra items included in this fixed labor price after I had started the job, so to cut my losses I decided not to return to his job.
Ive been in business fo 30 years with great reviews and not one bad.
This guy is a tradesman himself that had numerous carpenters come to quote but none returned a quote for him ( I wonder why?)

Kevin you keep saying im irate im the one who phoned you and you agreed to meet me on site on monday and guess what you did not show up. did not respond to calls emails or texts. As for the bearers you put them round the wrong way,even the merbau posts you installed are not evenly spaced there is a 200mm difference between your posts. You hacked one of my pergola posts above decking level and then shoved a piece of timber into it. The other pergola post you installed is not even plumb. Your decking screws are like a line of ants,and you even screwed some deck down with one screw in the middle and to add insult you shot nails into some of the decking you screwed down with your screwgun, Add to this the bow in the deck were you have not taken a level were you put new joists on the existing hard wood bearers and not done a single level. The bearers you in stalled are 2m apart and shot in with nails.The steps you built no two are alike.They go from 35mm overhang to flushand as every builder who has looked at the deck said your joist spacing should have been 450 not 600 as you have done. Remember your the builder and you should know how to build a deck. No wonder you took half the money and ran you did't have the decentsy to meet me on site, and you sneaked in on a tuesday when every one was at work to pick up your extension lead and bolted. Yes i will lodge a complaint with fair trading and i have plenty of pictures and people willing to help me do it for the shoddy job you done so you dont do it to others.
