There is so much to love and enjoy about Garfish. For a starters its prime location offers a magical view of the waters and the menu holds quite a variety.
I went with the fish and chips, topping it off with a glass of wine. The fish was succulent and cooked to perfection, not in the slightest bit oily, and a good portion size.
For the $25 it cost it was well worth it, especially when you add in the water views and the brilliant service.

Approximate cost: $25.00

Garfish Manly is a restaurant that doesn't disappoint. Sitting at one of the front tables by the window, right on dusk last Friday night was magical with the views across the water.
We found the food to be fresh, tasty, and varied- with daily specials allowing you to select your type of fish, how you would like it cooked, and with which accompaniments. Our entrees consisted of a shared seafood selection plate with delicious morsels of seafood prepared in different ways (my favourite was the tuna tartare!) My husband tucked into the Snapper Pie for his main, of which I was lucky enough to have him spare me just a taste before he gobbled it up! I enjoyed a lovely piece of grilled barramundi. The option of wood roasted seafood will have us returning again soon.
Friendly and efficient service, a magical setting, and amazing food. What more could you want?

The setting was superb, with a view of the ferry docks and inner harbour, we were lucky enough to get a window seat on this busy Saturday afternoon. We shared an entree of mixed seafood which was delicious, followed by some bugs, washed down with some very nice vino, the atmosphere is good and we would certainly consider eating there agin. The only thing I would complain about is that the bugs were few ( 4 ) and not enough meat in the shell!!!

My husband and I had dinner at Garfish Manly. It was a special occasion so we decided to give it a try. The food was great but just as importantly the service was fantastic. Our waitress knew her wine list inside out, made some great recommendations and was very attentive. It made the special occasion even more special!

I have eaten there a few times, yes, food is good. I find it expensive and the service is a bit inconsistent - on the weekends during the days when they are busy it can be a bit inexperienced and a bit offhand. But lovely position and the food seems very consistent.

If you love seafood, this is the place to go! It does other food as well, but the seafood is what it's known for.

The staff are always friendly and helpful which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

They have a great menu (make sure you try something from the woodfire) which considering the quality of the food, believe is excellently priced. Their wine and cocktail lists are also pretty damn good!!!

One of the great things about this place are the cameras they have in the kitchen and the woodfire itself. There are screens around the restaurant that let you watch your food being prepared, it cooking in the woodfire and then general goings on in the kitchen.....it can be quite a laugh!!!

If you are planning on heading there on a Friday or Saturday night, make sure you book as otherwise you won't be getting in!!!!!
