Try to wring every last dollar they possibly can from you by including unintelligible clauses into the contract. Wasn't allowed to pay 6-months upfront ... th ey want your credit card number so they can keep withdrawing money after membership expires by not 'accepting' cancellation of your membership unless you pay a further full month. Wasn't allowed to take the contract home to think about it, but was required to sign it on the spot.
The clause "Account Must Be Active And Not On Suspension When Cancelling All Payments in 30 Day Notice Period Must Be At Full Membership Rate" means that even if you try to cancel your membership 29 days before your membership expires, you'll be paying for another month. You're not allowed to write to them to cancel your membership, you must request a form, download it, fill it in, then upload or take it in to them AND THEN they need to approve it, but don't hold your breath.
OVERALL REVIEW - they hustle you at the start, then swindle you at the end. RECOMMENDATION - Avoid.

Take your money and never speak to you again! unless they are selling you something they wouldnt care less if you never showed your face again and broke your neck on the equiptment. Personal trainers at this gym compared to the FF i used to go to in Collins street are useless. Its rare that you even see one of them around. And i agree 100% with the comment about the TV screens on the equiptment. They dont even work its a miracle if you get one that does. Ill be ending my membership the very second it expires. Or i may just let them vent their bullshit for an hour to me and then just laugh in their face and let them know how full of shit they are! Would also help if they didnt have staff who have the memory of a gold fish!

I've been a member at this gym since they first opened. The facilities are great, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. They will greet you warmly when you enter, but thats about it. The Personal training staff seem to leave in droves, and I always feel like they are trying to screw more money out of me. The times I did join one of their programs, the lack of support from the management and genesis once they had my money was really dissapointing. I keep my membership due to the new equipment and it being close to home, but there is no loyalty and I'd gladly change to anther gym if one was as convenient. They use the TV's on the cardio equipment as a selling point, but in reality only about 10% of these work, and things that break rarely get fixed properly (if ever). My feedback has never been addressed, and they don't communicate with members very well at all unless it's to sell something.

This gym has fantastic facilities. All the equipment is state-of-the art, there are plenty of treadmills, bikes, cross-trainers and steppers for clients to use. I loved that I could plug into the machine and watch TV, or listen to music! Beautiful shower/change facilities with hair dryers and straighteners provided.

Approximate cost: $10 per casual visit

First (and only) time to this gym, I informed them I hadn't been there before and wasn't sure what to do - was asked for my name, given a card to get in and pointed in the direction of the gate where I struggled to get in and was left to fend for myself - no idea where to get changed or anything, had 2 staff members chatting to each other behind the desk and the one who originally spoke to me had disappeared. I left after about 5 minutes of wandering around like an idiot trying to find my way around. I cancelled my membership.
