Gin Palace is what I would term 'shabby chic'. It is a lovely bar, quite regent in decor and cavernous in size with many spaces/rooms. The drinks list is vast and pays decent homage to gin. Definitely worth a visit.

A well kept secret. It is like going into a secret enclave.
They have truly captured the shabby chic atmosphere. You are transported into another world, of hidden luxury with a middle eastern feel.
The drinks are great and barstaff very attentive. In case you get lost in thought and deep conversation to take a walk to the bar, the waitresses do come around to collect the glasses and assist with ordering of more drinks.

I went there for a girls night out and we enjoyed the setting and were pleased with the good range of drinks available.

All the ladies in our group enjoyed cocktails and they had a lovely taste and were quite creative.

A lovely little bar to go for some drinks. Went with some friends last Saturday and the atmosphere was perfect - the cocktails were great and the place wasn't too loud to distract from our conversation. The couches were comfortable and decor quite kitsch though fine in the dimmed setting. My friend, who's quite the fan of gin, was also impressed by the 40+ (from memory) gins they had on offer.

I've heard good things about this place, but when I went here it wasn't that great. Maybe we went at the wrong time and day (a Friday), but there wasn't really a good atmosphere. Weren't a fan of the drinks, but definitely memorable (not in a good way). People there were quite friendly though and the service was good. Might give this place another go, but first impressions weren't good.

This is my favourite place to take my out-of-town friends when they are in Melbourne to experience the funky bar scene in Melbourne. The Corpse Reviver cocktail is Awesome!!!!!! Funky, ecclectic, oh so chic! Great music too

This is a funky little bar we found purely by accident, but don't let the outside fool you! As soon as you walk downstairs you will find an awesome settup with antique leather and velvet furniture (very comfortable), great music and relaxing ambience. It is a great place to relax with a couple of friends, have an intimate conversation or even chill by yourself and people watch.

The bar has a brilliant Scotch Selection menu, which I thoroughly enjoyed both reading and ingesting. The staff really know their product and are quite happy to talk to you about it.

A joy to visit.

With an extensive range of cocktails - and of course - gin - on offer, this is a great spot for a drink. With lots of hidden nooks and many seats, this is a great spot for a couple to have a drink, or a small group of friends.
