Starting out on my parenthood journey I were confronted with so many choices and decisions, Thankfully my wife came along to help and is also so much better at shopping than I am, though the morning sickness made it rather difficult for her.

We have still some time to go but Glenhuntly baby carriages helped us so much we have bought all the essentials now from them and will be returning very soon to get more baby products from them.

starting out with the essentials and larger items (cot, change table, dresser/ tall boy)we went upstairs and were shown many different types and decided on everthing there and then

Moving downstairs were started to talk about prams and joggers and more and my wife told me my eyes had started to glaze over so we started to discuss a package with the owner Arthur.

The price was absolutley amazing (wife was on iphone constantly comparing as we were talking) and got a absolutely awesome price.

Great Car fitting Service

As a favourite to many adorable nephews i am in constant demand and have recently become the god mum to a beautiful girl. I have been to Glenhuntly baby carriages many times before to buy presents for birthdays and chirstmas,

Now i needed to get a car seat installed for my god daughter.

After discussing it with one of the girls in the shop i settled on a carried which i could fit into my pram

Thankfully Glenhuntly baby carriages have a car fitter there and were able to fit me in on saturday.

The carseat installer started out showing me how the carrier worked and how to make all the needed adjustments to keep the baby carrier safe and the typical issues I may have with the day to day use of the carrier

The installer was very helpful and the service was excellant, ensuring the car seat was very safe with very little play at the head and no play at the base.

Unsafe Baby Seat Install

I bought a Safe and Sound Meridian from Glen Huntly Baby Carriages and took advantage of the $25 fitting on seats bought from them. Worst. Decision. Ever.

We needed the Meridian installed rear facing in a Subaru Forester. A very common seat in a very common car.

The install took about 40 mins and 3 attempts. Each time the installer asked if the install was ok for me?!? I figure that the the installer should be telling me 'job done' not asking if I am happy with the install but I gave the seat a cursory wiggle - it felt quite loose and slipped around on the seat. So he did it again. Second time he forgot to use one of the seat belt clips that hold the belt locked and in the path required. When I pointed this out he then told me they weren't really necessary but at my suggestion did it again. Third time he told me it was the best it would get and gave it a small wiggle. I gave it a slightly firmer wiggle and felt even more movement than the first time. By now he was over it and he told me it was because I had leather seats and that the person he had seen before me had the same problem. I left, wary but wondering if our seats were the problem and what we could do about it. On getting home the seat had moved about 45deg off square. I gave it a wiggle it was even looser.

I went back to the store and asked for a refund, they told me it should be fine, he has been doing it for them for years and is qualified. I said it was not fine and insisted on a refund. The installer came out to the car, not cos he wanted to check the install but to uninstall it in case I was trying for a free install. He then implied I had made it loose...
I took the seat to another store (Baby Train on Warrigal Rd if you are looking but we also had our capsule installed by Baby Bunting and were very happy). The install took 15 minutes and is rock solid with just the small amount of play at the head end that it is meant to have and none at the base of the seat. It just feels secure and does not slip around on our leather seats at all.

It concerns me greatly that the installer at Glen Huntly Baby Carriages sent me off with a dangerously 'installed' seat. Had I believed his assurances, I would have put my baby in a very unsafe position and I hate to think what may have happened to him in the case of an accident with the seat slipping around as it was. I also wonder about the person before me with the leather seats with the 'same problem' - I hope they also had the sense to question his assurances.

It also concerns me that the staff at Glen Huntly Baby Carriages were so quick to defend the work of the installer without checking his work themselves (at no point did they come out to see the quality of the install despite my suggestion they may like to) but continue to use him as their installer. At $25 their install price is cheaper than any going around but that does not justify a lesser service in such an important matter.

DON'T let them install your seat! The $14 or so extra it will cost elsewhere is such a small price to pay...

Ordered a Combi Pram online, almost $100 cheaper than any store in Adelaide, even with the delivery charge. Can't fault the experience. I received a postage tracking number after a couple of days. After that it took 3 days to arrive at my doorstep. Less than a week after I placed the order

I have dealt with Arthur and his team for many years when buying presents for friends and families and also when I started my own family. Glenhuntly Baby Carriages has always provided knowledgeable and friendly service. They never tire of being asked questions and are always happy to assist. I highly recommend GBC.

I have been shopping at Glenhuntly Baby Carriages for years. Even though they are a small store (compared to some of the others), the service has always been first rate. I have never felt like they pressure me into anything and in most cases they tell me when something is not necessary to buy. I have always recommended my friends to go there and I have never heard a complaint. Lastly I have always found them to be the cheapest and if I have found a product cheaper elsewhere they have always beaten it!!

Glenhuntly Baby Carriages is a great place to shop for all baby related products. They offer great service and friendly advice. Most importantly, they also offer great value. This made it easy for me to buy all of my son's furniture, pram and toys from Arthur and the team.

Don't shop here. They are so rude, lie to you about products and service. They don't care about safety or your requirements. Service is Appalling. Other shops price match. Knowing the store you buy from will help you if anything goes wrong is very important. I was without my pram for 4 months because of these people. Not worth saving $20!!!

We went there to get the best price. That's exactly what we got. I had done my research and Glenhuntly Baby Carriages is the cheapest by far. The service was second to none. Giving us fantastic tips for first time parents. They even took the pram out to the car to see if it would fit. I would recommend Glenhuntly Baby Carriages to anyone who truely wants the best prices

Service in general was pretty good. Lots of products in the shop and the marked prices were lower than most other shops. However they didn't discount the goods much even though we bought quite a few things.
