I got the SNS nails done and the ladies helped me pick out the perfect colour. Left the salon very happy and satisfied.Will come back to try the pedicure next time.

Do not bother, go somewhere else or you risk a subpar service and being treated rudely by staff.

I returned there because I got great service in 2018, always having the same SNS holographic polish applied. Today it was a very different experience. I came in and requested the same SNS color of the previous times. The man who was doing my nails was polite and neat, however he messed up the application of the SNS by skipping steps between nails (inconsistent application) and not covering my whole nails (leaving the edges of my nail tips thin and uncovered). When I pointed out the issue, I was told to wait for a woman, who came and was unhappy I was saying I was unsatisfied with the application and that the way it was done the polish result would not be the full holographic color I obtained before (or of the swatch they show you in the salon). She didn't really want to hear me say what the issue was. She cut me off and said she would just add more coats of the dip powder. I asked her how thick the final polish would be (because thick SNS application doesn't last and peels off your nail). She went on a rant and got into other client's faces asking for their opinion about the color of the holographic powder (while trying to make fun of me saying the power "was red and not green". I mentioned I wanted the powder applied to show the colored glitter in it, and mentioned the green glitter). The clients were uncomfortable and declined to answer even though she badgered them. She returned to the chair across from me, layered more sns on my nails and had to file them to make them less thick. I ended up with the glitter broken (filled down) and showing all silver, which ruins the effect of the polish and makes the color of the polish less red).
She continued to be rude when I tried talking to her (in a calm manner) and complained to me that I shouldn't complain about the service (the irony!). She also kept complaining about me in another language to other workers in the shop as if the irritated tone of voice would not give it away. She applied top coat and told me I was done and walked away. I started gathering my things to leave with my bad nail job, when another worker told me to not gather my things because I needed to wait 5min for my top coat to dry. I said I was told I was done. I also knew it takes time for the top coat to dry, but it already looked bad and I just wanted to leave the place and the uncomfortable situation. The woman then said very loudly for the whple salon: "if you had so much experience with SNS you should know better". I was charged $55 for a shit nail job and to be mistreated. Also, I pointed out at the check out that every other time I had a manicure and my cuticles removed with my SNS manicure, but this time none of this was done. The same woman went around the counter saying loudly that she believed I was able to read and their sign said "SNS costs $55". I paid and told her I would not return.

I have a photo comparison of the same SNS dip powder outside in daylight, one is the last time I had it applied in Nov 2019, and the other is from today, Feb 2020. The polish from today pepered in silver, which is from the filed down glitter and the color looks less red.

If you can't deal with mistakes or treat people with a minimum of politeness, you should not be dealing with costumers.

I took my sister and her two little boys to get pedicures. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. The 2 year old and 6 year old loved it! And the adults thought it was fantastic too, will definitely be going back.

I have been being their client for more than 6 years now as since the 1st day of their business for acrylic nails and pedicure. Always being happy so far, Kim is so nice and helpful with your enquiry. All staff are well trained in services and technical skills. If you are not happy, just let them know and they are willing to fix with pleasure. I used to be a customer from other shops in the Belconnen mall and I can not believe to be with Golden Nails already 6 years. Well, time's flying, right?

My husband and I like to have a manicure every two weeks or so, and have had mixed experiences at the two other nail salons in Belconnen Mall, so we thought we would try Golden Nails & Spa.

Unlike the other nail salons we have tried, Golden Nails & Spa are more than happy to provide manicures for male customers. In fact, some of their staff are male, and they try to provide a male manicurist for my husband where possible.

We always receive efficient and courteous service at Golden Nails & Spa, and have been pleased with our manicures. The Salon also has a loyalty program which saves a few dollars.

Really, there's nothing not to like!
