I recently received a Good Food Gift Card. I checked their website for approved restaurant partners, called the restaurant prior to dining to ensure they accepted the card, and even showed the card to the waitress prior to ordering. She confirmed that they accepted the card as payment. After dining I tried to pay with the gift card and it was declined multiple times. I called the Good Food customer service line but there was no answer. Not only was this extremely embarrassing, but very inconvenient as I had to pay the full bill out of my own money. Needless to say, it wasn’t something I could afford. I only went to that restaurant to use the gift card. I eventually reached the Good Food customer service team the following day and explained the situation. They could clearly see that multiple attempts had been made to use the card and acknowledged that the restaurant did in fact accept these cards, but they continually blamed the restaurant, accepted no responsibility and refused to refund the gift card. I spent 45 minutes on the phone, during which time my call was escalated to a supervisor who repeatedly told me the card worked perfectly and it was the restaurant’s fault. Now I’m $120 out of pocket for a meal I would have never had if not for wanting to use this gift card.

Don’t buy these gift cards they don’t work they take your money for nothing. Have tried using at different restaurants listed and alway get declined.

Ordering the physical gift card turned out to be a nightmare -- I paid for express postage, which they advertise as 1-4 days after dispatch, but they didn't dispatch the card until about a month later. Had multiple back and forths with their team via email and phone call and they delayed getting back to me until the card had already been delivered at which point they just deemed the issue as "dealth with". Do not buy this product if you want the recipient to get it within a reasonable time frame.

I was double charged because of their website glitch, however never received a gift card. Have been engaging with the customer service team for over a month, and it felt like they never actually looked into the issue. Inefficient and their responses look like auto-generated messages. Still haven't received a refund. Extremely frustrating experience especially when this was recommended by a friend.

2020 book lists 16 different restaurants with which we can use this voucher. Have eaten at two of these so far and despite certificates from Good Food all over the walls they won’t accept the voucher. Starting to think this currency is dud

I have been trying to resolve a gift card issue with this company for awhile- and no replies to e-mails and when I call, I get somewhat over-it staff who says they have done XYZ, but I don't think they have, because the issue still has not been resolved. I am quite upset, especially at this time of the year- the time of trying to give! This review has noting to do with the restaurants, just the service by the good food gift card provider!
