Making the decision to purchase a solar system can be rather daunting as there are so many stories of here today gone tomorrow suppliers and those who are simply marketeers using sub-contractors to do the installation.
After doing some research and obtaining a number of quotes I selected Goodhew Electrical and Solar.They were not the cheapest but met all the requirements for which i was look ie a local well established company, horizontally integrated as in doing their own marketing, design, agents for the panels, installation and after sales service. I was impressed with all the people I had contact with from Don in sales, Fiona in administration, Brad and Jac who did the installation and Rod who set up the WiFi system. The installation date which was set, upon receipt of the order was met. The system is a 6 kws one. I feel justified in selecting Goodhew as the technician from AGl who fitted the required new digital meter {does up to 6 per day] stated upon seeing Goodhews sticker on the inverter " you will not have trouble with this one unlike some I see"

My old solar hot water system was now leaking and I accepted a quote for its replacement from Goodhew Elecriical & Solar. However, on inspection, only part of it needed replacement saving me a considerable amount of money. That honesty in their dealings with me will keep me as a loyal customer and I have no difficulty in recommending them to others.
I have also had my solar panels checked and will continue with that annual service.

Original solar inverter replaced within twenty four hours, Advised of incorrect installation of original inverter which could have lead to electrification of system or fire. Fault rectified. Thank you to staff for their excellent service and bringing to my attention this potential hazard.

I had some initial issues with my installation experience with Goodhew, and I expressed those views here. Since then, to Goodhew's credit, they contacted me personally to establish the problem, and then did something about it. It's reassuring that businesses take reviews and customer satisfaction seriously, and address it. As a result, I'm happy to recommend Goodhew Electrical and Solar.

We had a 5kW solar system installed to our two storey tile roofed home, the service provided by Goodhew Electrical and Solar was very good. All aspects right through from my first phone call enquiry was handled well and promptly. The workmen who did the installation performed their work in a professional manner explaining each step along the installation process in a clear and understandable way. The only issue which stopped me giving them a 5 star rating was the fact that our fibre optic internet cable above the eaves soffit was damaged in the process of drilling a hole for installing wiring to the inverter. I have no hesitation in recommend the company to others considering installing solar power.

Professional solar installers in every way. Upgraded to a 5kW inverter at no extra cost. They turned up on time last week and did a faultless job on the install. Highly recommend this company.
System details: 10x300W (3kW) Simax panels, 5kW Trannergy inverter.
Performance: So far have seen (via the inverter LCD screen) system produce >17kWh in one day & >3200W of power when the sun's out. That's pretty good for a 3kW rated system!

the other solar companies tried to upgrade me to 5 kwh system and loose my gov tariff . Andrew found out that my 1 kwh system with a 3kwh inverter meant I could upgrade my system to 3kwh and still receive the gov tariff thanks Andrew and the team at goodhew for a job well done.

I had a Goodhew 8 panel system installed several years ago. It was a most satisfying experience. I had no hesitation in asking Goodhew's to install an additional 8 panels, which was successfully completed today. I received the same caring open discussion before hand and todays installers "were like poetry in motion". Now to start saving for their "state of the art" solar hot water system.....
