I phoned to enquire on the sizing and types of flowers in season in Canberra at present as I am interstate and wished to purchase a gift for the passing of a relative. The lady on the phone was very quick with her answers, cut me off mid sentence, and had no manners, spoke in a rude tone, she just wanted me to give her my order quickly. As a result I ordered my bouquet of flowers elsewhere. Very disappointing service.

This is a lovely little florist in the the Belconnen mall. I bought a native bouquet from here for my mum's birthday and it was a great price considering the size. The man on duty was very helpful with choosing and also with giving advice on the continued care of the flowers. He wrapped them up carefully and made them look very appealing. He also included a plant food sachet to put in with the water at home. They lasted really well, nearly 3 weeks later they were still looking good. Definitely recommend, especially for native ones as they do last well. Excellent service.

There are a few florist shops around, but this shop seems to always have a good variety of flowers and orchids on display. Especially during special occasions, such as Valentines day. They have lots of funky, but expensive, looking flowers to cheer up your loved one. That said, even though there isn't anything special occurring in November last month, I still manage to get some really cute and boutique style orchid to make my partner smile.

When I was looking to add a special touch to my little girl's Dora themed birthday party, I was glad that I went to Gorman's. They arranged some absolutely gorgeous gerbera in a Dora tin bucket that we had - all colour coordinated to Dora's outfit. My little girl loved the flowers, they lasted for ages and all at a very reasonable price.
