After my late husband’s funeral, I chose a well-known funeral service, but I had no clear expectations and it felt impersonal—just another client to them. It went smoothly, but I didn’t feel that personal touch or sense of customisation that I later realised was possible.

When my son passed, I knew I wanted something more meaningful and personal. My partner found Greenhaven through a Google search, and it had excellent reviews. From the moment we connected, Carly was a true guide. She walked me through every step and gave me the freedom to personalise the service in ways I hadn’t even considered. I was able to choose everything, from the coffin and hearse to the venue and even the exact date for the cremation.

Looking back, I’m so grateful I didn’t go with a big-name funeral service this time. Greenhaven, and especially Carly, made all my wishes come true. The care, compassion, and attention to detail were beyond what I ever expected. It truly made a difference, and I feel so much peace knowing everything was done exactly how I wanted for my son.

From the 1st appointment with Carly, we knew she was going to put us at ease, as we've never had to lay anyone to rest previously. Carly's patience, empathy and understanding of our emotions and distress were impeccable. When my close friend died in late 2024, I was required to arrange his cremation and a friend recommended Greenhaven to me. I am so happy that they did because the team were so kind and caring and helped allay the anxiety I was feeling. I worked with Iain, who was so professional and guided me through the various options with no pressure and I valued his experience. Iain arranged a private viewing and one of my friends who wanted to attend had never seen a dead body. Carly was very friendly and responsive from the start. We especially liked the range of funeral venues to choose from which were not readily available from other Funeral Directors. This was the fourth occasion I've had to avail myself in the last couple of years of Tim and Carly's services, and my family and I could not have withstood all that has happened on each of the occasions without their help, kindness and understanding. Greenhaven's lovely team looked after my mum years ago with great respect and care. They completely honoured our requests to do things our own way and supported us exactly as we needed. So, when it came to arrangements for my Aunt recently if was such a comfort to go back to them and know I could trust them again.

The whole team is lovely and were there from the start, night and day. Carly's care was exemplary. She was incredibly generous with her time and support, helping navigate everything from notices in the paper to family communication challenges and two complex events, at an extremely difficult time. She has such an easy going, sensitive and genuinely caring nature it made it much easier to get through it all. Nothing seemed to phase her and she conducted everything beautifully. Together with the Greenhaven team we made the send off for our Aunt something that truly did her justice. We held a celebration of life, cremation and tree planting and it all went beautifully.

I chose Greenheaven for my late wife’s funeral services, and my experience with them was notably straightforward. From the initial phone conversation with Tim and Carly, their approach was highly supportive. They facilitated an open discussion about our preferences for the funeral, simplifying a process that could have been overwhelming.

Following my wife’s passing, all that was required on my part was to provide the hospital with Carly’s contact details. Greenheaven took over from there, arranging for my wife’s body to be transported to their facility without any complications.

The care and time Carly spent organising my sisters funeral was done with compassion, tolerance and care. Nothing was a worry and even came into the hospital to speak with my sister and ask what she would like. Having to try and organise everything via zoom with teenager children , was a challenge but Carly managed to calmly organise everything. The funeral was perfect. Exactly how Liz wanted it. From the very first phone call to Tim I began to feel at ease with the sad process. During Tim's visit to our apartment, he was respectful, knowledgeable, had all of the required documentation and answered all of my questions. The funeral for Janet [my sister] was exactly as she had requested, the colour, music, psalm, prayers and hymns. Carly read the Eulogies with meaning and care. Thank you Greenhaven Funerals.
