The Groove Train makes some really delicious food. I always tend to order their pasta; either the carbonara or the gnocchi which I find to be a nice treat. My partner really enjoyed the pizza the other nigh saying that he thinks "it's the best pizza he has ever had".

Be sure to book a table if going on a Friday or a Saturday night as it does get really busy. Also, be aware that this is a very noisy restaurant. The service is prompt, the food is a bit more on the expensive side as are the drinks.

Once you figure out the best spot to park (in Burwood One carpark) and make use of the ramp and/or stairs up to the front door this suburban eatery will make you want to come back.
Uni students will soon have a 'cheap night'. Live music will be on offer soon too.

But the real surprise is the VIEW. The sunset with the Melbourne CBD clearly in the distance. Awwwesome!
The food is really good and consistent. The service a tad on the cool casual side. But hey some folk like it that way.
During the day there is a steady stream of Mums catch ups, business meetings, power walkers and late risers making it there own. At night it is a busy eatery satisfying all taste buds.

A hightlight is the lift for those with lmiited mobility. Well done. Should be options like this designed into every business. Bravo!

I went there for lunch on a public holiday after hearing great things from family. It was surprisingly quiet when I arrived.
I was amazed by the service of the lady who served us. As soon as she saw my two kids, she brought straws for the water glasses on the table, asked whether we wanted cutlery for the kids (rather than just putting it down and leaving it to the parents to keep the kids safe from them), and everything we asked (juice, no ice, in a small glass please!) was no hassle.
The iced tea tasted like they made it themselves - something you don't often get - though I can't be sure. The meal was nice. I had a salad so although I'd say there was no "wow factor", it's not easy to "wow" a salad. My husband was happy with his parma and chips and the kids didn't complain.
The staff always had warm smiles which is great. Although we didn't try the deserts, I'm totally hanging out to go back for those as they looked amazing.
I highly recommend this place. It's not "the most amazing thing ever" but it's very good. Better than most places I visit in glen Waverley.

I have been to other Groove Train restaurants in the past, and on this occasion I was a little disappointed.

My favourite dish is their beef burger, but on this occasion, the pattie was small and not satisfying. All the meals at our table looked to be a lot smaller than previous visits.

The service was OK, but didn't blow me away. Seems to be the fashionable place to hang out, but I won't be rushing back.

20% discount with Entertainment Card/Frequent rewards is handy.

Just discovered this place, friendly staff, nice balcony to sit out in good weather, food is tasty and well priced with plenty of variety. I have discovered the iced mochas here are delicious, not good for my waistline but my taste buds are celebrating a place that serves ice coffees etc with cream on top :)

I've been to this restaurant twice and have enjoyed myself. Service is great, great atmosphere, its always busy (in a good way) and the menu is relatively large. It offers a range of meals from pasta to wood fired pizza to steak and even butter chicken! The kids meal is also great and they even get a free serving of ice cream once they've finished their meal!
However i did find that the food was slightly bland. Don't get me wrong it was still tasty but was just missing that 'umph'.
I've also noticed a breakfast menu and am keen to try it sometime soon :)

Approximate cost: $20

From entering the restaurant, we were welcomed by a lovely staff member who seated us to a table. We had dips for the entrée, which came with amazing dips. and enough to go around. a lot of restaurants you don't get enough dips. It was beetroot, olive, and sundried tomato. AMAZING! For the mains we had a porterhouse steak and the pan fried gnocchi!! Once again, AMAZING! first time trying this restaurant and would definitely recommend it to everyone. The lady who served us for the most part of the night was a bit awkward and wasn't too sure what she was doing. But maybe she was new, so im not going to hold that against her. Overall, a lovely night out with some great food!!

Went to groove rain Burwood East after deciding to to a late Coles shop at the 24 hour Coles and I must say,?ghe place is very clean, the food was delicious and the staff very professional. I think I will definitely go again. We also had the delicious Nutella calzone so recommend but very rich so it's a good dish to share between 2 or 3 people or even indulge yourself but beware IT'S VERY RICH

Funky setting, friendly, attentive staff and fantastic food... this place is amazing. There is a large balcony for outdoor dining, a cocktail list for the adventurous, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere which makes you want to stay just a little while longer. This was my first visit, but won't be my last: I think I just found my favourite restaurant.
