Great place. We adopted two cats from Hahndorf and they were great pets. They have now passed on and so we will be back to Hahndorf to adopt a new friend.

I have adopted two cats from here, and they have both enriched my and my family's lives. I loved seeing the rock cats, and all of the other different characters.
Please visit and adopt a pet. These animals might not be perfect (are any of us), but with a little TLC they will be your faithful friends.

i volunteered here briefly about 9 years ago and its a lovely place/ the people that work here really care for the animals/ i myself adopted a 4month kitten who i named 'kermit' and he has been a deeply loved member of our family/ please do not buy from pets hops but adopt an abandoned animal/ all the animals are so lovable and need a home/ please support this worthwhile shelter!!!

This is a No Kill shelter. How excellent is that!
They can manage to look after dogs and cats until they find a nice home, and dont give them any time limit on their life. If they dont find a home in 6 weeks or 6 years, they are looked after by the volunteers at the shelter.
Makes you wonder why others cant do this too? :(
They do an excellent job and only request a donation to get your newest family member from them.
Take a drive out to Hahndorf and support them next time your looking to add to your family :)

A not for profit animal shelter run by local volunteers. Primary set up as a shelter that sells orphaned, lost or unwanted animals for a reasonable donation. If your after a cat or a dog at a reasonable price, visit this business as they really take the time in taking care of many unwanted animals. Go ahead and adopt a cat or a dog and be responsible pet owner!
