Would you buy from a company which operates in an unethical way?
Would you support the treatment of the Nazi's as they treated the Jews as second class citizens? NO, of course you wouldn't.
This company excluded me being allowed inside their store. They told me that they would serve me outside from the pavement. Why? Because I have a medical condition which excludes me from wearing a facemask. This is NOT my fault - so why should I be discriminated against? What next, if you have epilepsy then you can't enter in case you have a fit?
This company operates with a low moral compass and will happily discriminate against people.
I have been caused great emotional difficulty as a result of this ill treatment.
SO PLEASE - do not shop here, there are a million other brands which do value customers and respect human rights.
I ask you, is discrimination allowed in this day and age? NO. SO please share your reason why you do not wish to support this brand and take a stand against discrimination.
Approximate cost: $110
The best chocolate on earth. I don't know where to begin - aprichocs! Yummo! Quite expensive but worth every cent!
A south australian icon - if you visit the factory in Parkside, sometimes there are seconds that taste just as good
High quality chocolates and excellent service. Their peppermint milk chocolate has to be my favourite. Perfect for gifts for someone special or to treat yourself.
Went to this shop whilst on hols recently in Adelaide. Yummo chocolates. Good prices. This is a lot better the supermarket chocolates that's for sure. Cant wait to go back again to this shop next time we are visiting south aust.
Approximate cost: $30.00
Always love Haigh's chocolates - very special
I love their chocolates.
I only buy Haighs when shopping for chocolate for gifts. The quality is excellent, the service friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They happily spent several minutes assembling a combination of awkward items into a well wrapped gift at no extra charge. And yes, while the price is higher than that of store bought chocolate it is no dearer than other chocolates of equal quality. My nephews look forward to their chocolate bilbies each Easter and I look forward to my chocolate pastilles. Last visit I tried their coffee flavoured pastilles and instantly bought a bagful. I normally only buy dark chocolate and these were milk but the coffee flavour was so intense and rich that I could've sworn it was dark chocolate. Yummo.
Haighs chocolate make great gifts and the factory store sometimes have seconds packaged up for use at home
Great little shop with the best chocolate on offer. The staff are always very friendly. The shop is small so it's hard to get around with a pram and is always very busy! The chocolate is a little pricy - but you get what you pay for! The staff offer you a free sample to taste when you purchase - always makes me feel valued!
Such a busy little shop! Didn't realise so many people love chocolate. Great quality chocolate of every size, shape and variety. The shop is quiet small so it is hard to browse. Would recommend going outside of lunch hours so you can appreciate fully all they have to offer
I like Haighs chocolate very much. I think the taste is better than others brand. I often buy it as gift for family back home and my nephews and nieces love it so much. They even can recognise which one is from Haighs and which ones from other shop. The staff are also friendly. However, I would say the price is quite high compare to those chocolate that you can get at supermarket. I guess the price is for the taste and quality.
Each time I travel to or even pass through Adelaide I always try to stop in here. Such a chocolate shop! Really delicious chocolates, and very good quality. It is quite expensive though, but it's definitely worth it to treat yourself once in a while. Staff were very happy to let us sample some chocolates. Definitely worth the visit!
Going to this store is a real luxury - you only do it once in a while because it costs a lot more than supermarket chocolate but it so good you actually eat less. Try the lemon myrtle truffles.
Staff are friendly and helpful and always ready with a smile and a sample or two.
Oh the lemon myrtle truffles sound delicious!
A great quality shop, You know all there ingredients are pure with out lots of yucky chemicals and additives. The shop assistants are always friendly and pleasant. We come here at Easter and the whole family gets to pick out which easter eggs they would like and i pick up extra bits from the easter bunny :) You can also take a free tour of there factory too and you get free samples.
I love the chocolate here , it is the best , it does cost quite a bit more than regular chocolate but i guess sometimes you need to pay more for good quality , i just love it .
Fantastic chocolate, yum can't get enough. Always great quality and price, staff are always friendly and helpful. Excellent location close to the city with great parking at the front of the store.
Great Chocolates that people from interstate come over to get when on visit.
Haigh's is always a favourite stop when I am in Adelaide! The chocolate is amazing, being from a rural area I will always buy a treat for myself and my partner on those occasions I am in town. And their hot cross bun chocolates at Easter time are to die for!!! Yumm!!!
I love dropping in here just to pick up a chocolate frog. Best treat you can get for under $1
They also make amazing chocolate for gifts, perfect if you are going to visit someone interstate!
Yum yum. Special chocolate for that special occasion
Best chocolate in Adelaide! I absolutely LOVE coming here for a bit of a treat. It can be a little more expensive than normal shops, but it's worth it when you're feeling a little naughty, or for a special event.
Great chocolate and well worth the extra you pay
I only shop here beacuse I love the chocolate for special occasions as it is a bit more expensive than standard lines but I also like to support good local businesses, I would visit here at least weekly for a nice chocolate hit/treat!
i love this shop . its my favirote chocolate shop. i love all the chocolates they have . they make a really great hot chocolate powder that i bought one time. also the violet creams. are my favorites. i treated myself to a small box of chocolates at easter time and just loved every bit. a real treat for me.
To die for chocolate. Celebrate a good South Aussie business. I love anything from this shop. Further bonus is you always seem to get a sample of something often that will become a new favourite. Worth a visit anytime you are at the central markets.
I agree best chocolate I've ever had
DELICIOUS chocolate, berry chocs are definitely my favourite. They are quite expensive but good as treats or presents. They get quite busy around christmas and easter so expect to wait in line
Approximate cost: $7
Haighs makes the most amazing chocolate. My favourite thing would have to be the giant chocolate frogs they last for ages and are so smooth and creamy. Haighs is always a hit so makes a great gift and the staff are always more than willing to help you make up a special selection of chocolates for that special someone.
Wonderful quality chocolate. For someone who doesn't eat much chocolate. Oh my.... WOW.... You have to try. Seems expensive but when you try - so worth it.....
The staff very friendly and gave out test tasting - what more do you want
Approximate cost: $10
fantastic chocolate, can't get enough. always great quality, staff are always friendly and helpful but price is a bit expensive
I went to the Haigh's Chocolate Factory, which is over on Greenhill Rd. Whenever I visit Adelaide, I make a point of visiting here as I stock up on whatever seconds are available. Yesterday I went in, picked up $50 worth of seconds and went to the counter in the middle of the shop to pay. No one was there so I waited patiently.
A female staff member sorting truffles behind a display case behind me then looked over at me with one raised eyebrow and said 'Are you looking to pay?'. I said yes, and then she rudely gestured me over with two arms in an over the top motion, with an exasperated expression on her face. I don't know what her problem was, but it was only 9.30am, and where she was working didn't look like it had a register. Felt like a bother and annoyance to her.
I do really love their chocolates though (especially the berry chocs).
way to go a quality product with service standards to match. A real icon and good source to adelaide. well done. besides the choccies from here are non fattening!!
I really love Haighs, they make the best lemon truffles I have ever tasted. I often make a purchase when I pass the store or need a quick gift for someone. Their chocolates are fantastic and really good quality. Their service is always good and they often give out free samples.
Best chocolates in the world, in my humble opinion. Try the new honeycomb block, its so awesome. Excellent service with friendly staff, and you always get a free tasting of whatever they have on offer that week. Free gift wrapping on virtually anything and you can spend as much or as little as you would like.
YUM, these have got to be the best chocies in Australia. the Milk Peppermint Creams are the best I have tasted. They are more expensive than other chocolate places, but i guess you get what you pay for. We try going there once a month or so. Take your creidt card with you, once you try one you'll want to but more and more
