Warning: do not waste your money at Halo Heaven! It is a misleading SCAM!

I originally found Halo Heavem after looking at party supply stores online. They seem to stock a huge number of items at very reasonable prices. I emailed them to ask if they would ship to Australia. 'Sure!' I was told. I was so excited to place an order of little fairy wings and wands for my daughters fourth birthday party.

Placed order. Anxiously waited 10 days, expecting that items had been posted and could arrive any day. Finally receive an email- items have been packed but will require an extra $17 shipping. My original order was $40, with $16 post! Ten days to tell me they've doubled the shipping! They also point me to a section of the website where it states,

"We will contact you to approve the actual rate if you were under charged. If you don't approve it or we can't contact you within three days then your order will be promptly refunded. "

Fair enough, I think, and I return a polite email saying that I can't approve that amount (as it is double the originally charged shipping!) and request a refund.

The next email in a few days time tells me that they will refund, minus a 15% restocking fee! Seriously!?!?

I am disgusted with how misleading their website is- statements regarding refunds are misleading, and the customer service is terrible. Yes, I do realize we are dealing with different timezones, but realistically, ten days to send an email about extra postage?!? Doubling the original postage that I was charged?!?! Refusing a full refund?!?!

This is what really annoys me: the original email I received after asking about shipping to Australia told me just to go ahead and order on the website (and pay of course), rather than send through a list of items to get a quote for shipping! They can make their money without ever actually posting anything!

I could have saved myself a lot of time, energy and money by NOT shopping at Halo Heaven!!

* Just a note that I cannot actually comment on the 'quality' of items, as I have never actually received anything!
