If you want a taste of days gone by this is definitely the place to stay. It's not cheap but with sandstone walls and being right in the heart of The Rocks, it's quite a step back in time. I attended a conference here and it was really awesome to be in that atmosphere yet being pampered with modern day cuisine. Get the train to Circular Quay and walk.
