Since moving to Sydney, I've been told this place is an icon and I had to try it. It seems all the fuss is about pies with mushy peas?? Not sure if that's my thing! But a good place for a cheap and easy meal after a few drinks

Such an iconic place and the food is always great! Of course it is simple, but that is the charm. Awesome stop for a snack or meal after a night out

A trusty Sydney icon. Food is basic but that's exactly what you go for. Don't know how many late nights this place hit the spot.

The daughter loved it and always asks me to take her back. If it wasn't such a travel for us I would be there more often.

Harry's is an institution. You wouldn't go there everyday and let's face it, there's nothing particularly special about the food but when the opportunity presents, it's an experience you don't want to pass up. It's one of those "do it once a year" kind of things. It's making new memories. And honestly, there aren't many places around Sydney that serve this kind of fare: chunky fresh pies with peas, mash and gravy and various incarnations of the hotdog. They do it better than the local pie shop and the location is hard to beat.

i have been going here for so long now, its such an amazing place. The pies and hot dogs are so yummy. I love the atmosphere also. Would definitely recommend!!

I think this would be the best Harrys to eat at. Great place and vibe. The absolute best pies ever. Chicken mushroom is my fave. Not to pricey and we'll worth the trip.

Best pies in Australia. Have only eaten the pies with mash, peas and gravy. Fantastic tasty food that fills you up. Other menu items include hot dogs, sausage rolls and pasties. It is the additional toppings that completes the meal.

Approximate cost: $6+

If in Sydney you have to make sure that you visit this place at least once for their amazing hotdogs and pies. This place has been there since ages and has been visited by many celebrities for the fresh and good food! Have to try the hot dog de wheels which is probably the best food in Sydney for the $6 it costs. It was great to grab a pie and then just sit on the wharf and enjoy the views of the harbor.

Harry's is a Sydney icon (an expanding one, too! There's now Harry's in Haymarket, the airport, North Parramatta, and on Parramatta Rd near Burwood!) but nothing beats the original. Literally a wheeled cafe by the water in Woolloomooloo, Harry's is more than a little special.

I visited here for the first time with a bunch of friends, and while I ummed and ahhed over the menu (Pie? Pastie? HOT DOG?!) the staff were patient and pleasant. For around $10 I got a massive pastie heaped with a huge amount of mashed potato and--a revelation to me--mushy pees, both drenched in gravy. Perfect. Hubby got a hot dog also heaping with peas and mash and gravy, and we all sat on the wharf by the water. A perfect end to the day.

My first visit to Harry was definitely NOT my last. A MUST-do for any Sydneysider or visiter to Sydney!

Approximate cost: $10

Who on earth that haven't tried this famous pie and hotdog cafe? I love to go there just to order some of their delicious hot dog and pies and sitting down and eating them near the bay.
Under $10 you can always choose from variety of hot dog and pies. just love the vibe and the people and the small cafe itself has great personality.

I love the pie and mushy peas at Harry's. The iconic nostagia lives on with the great service and good food at a very reasonable price. There is an outlet at Wynyard station for those that like a great takeaway coffee too!

Harry's Cafe De Wheels is a great place to grab a pie! I would recommend the pie with mash potatoes, peas and gravy in the middle. Great value and delicious! It is often a busy spot, but the service is friendly and helpful. I would recommend getting a pie and then sitting on the waters edge in Woolloomooloo (it is best in summer). Very enjoyable!
