Love the African style of the restaurant and the food. It is a little expensive but worth it

although the food is a little pricey it is definitely good value for money for something different. the food is amazing and the staff were really friendly.

I can't comment much on the value for money as we went here for a work function but the quality of the food was great. Looking around I'd say the prices would be on the expensive side but don't quote me. Service was good but like I said, it was a work function so they were getting big $$ and we probably got a bit of special treatment. My husband and I do plan on going back for a special evening.

The greatest and biggest range of steak I've seen anywhere. The atmosphere and service is fantastic. It is bloody expensive, but the quality is absolutely unbeatable. The only place that wont look at you weirdly for ordering a blue steak.

This place does the best steak and ribs that you will ever eat. I have ben going to Hippo Creek for over 7 years (when it was in Scarborough) and the only thing that has changed are the prices. It is expensive but well worth it & I would recommend the Monkey Gland sauce with your steak.

This is the best steak restaurant in Perth. The steaks are just amazing, so tender and melt in your mouth. It is expensive and we usually go for special occasion. You can also order a variety of different African Foods like Crocodile etc.. and they do chicken, fish etc for those who dont want Meat. The serves are really, really large so you dont even need entrees with your meals. We always order the Lions Kill - steak + ribs, with any sauce you like. Very, very tasty!

Food was great and cooked to my liking, staff were very nice. the only negative was that they forgot to give me my half rack of ribs to go with my mains, this was all sorted out when i went to pay for the bill i got refunded. would go there again.

Celebrated at Hippo Creek Hillarys for a family birthday. Men in the family thoroughly enjoyed their ribs and steak. Steak was cooked to medium rare perfection and the monkey gland sauce complemented the rump. Spare ribs are delicious and tender. A standard favourite is the peri peri chicken salad. always generous, moist and divine. Great atmosphere, friendly, efficient staff and best location. Highly recommend Hippo Creek for a wonderful dine out experience. Wine list is varied. Thank you.

Have been here twice: the first time was so good that we couldn't wait to come again. Second time was still enjoyable, although not quite as great.
It is quite pricey, especially when you factor wine in, but worth it for the view and ambiance of the place.
The food is delicious. I recommend the kebabs with the crocodile, buffalo, ostrich and kangaroo. Very generous serves.

We tried this restaurant out last week (we've been a few times to the one in Scarborough). This one is more upmarket with a nice view and ambiance. The food was just as good as the one in Scarborough but it seemed a bit more expensive.

There was a group of 10 of us dining on a Friday night. We had a really nice 3 course meal. The food was fantastic and presented well. I especially loved the Beer Bread. Everyone in our party would recommend Hippo Creek to others.

I first went here with some girlfriends and loved it that much that I went with my hubby the following week. The ambience, service and food are all great. It's only downfall for me is the price and only in that it means I can't go back on a more regular basis. If you add wine the bill starts to stack up. However it's definately on my list to go again.

Excellent place, great atmosphere, great service, very nice food. The only problem is it is hard to get in there. Must book about 3-4 weeks ahead. It gets booked up so quickly but overall this is my favourite place

This place has the most amazing range of exotic food. Presentation is fantastic. The setting is absolutely beautiful. Must book early as is very popular.

overlooking hillarys boat harbour, the new restaurant is fantastic. excellent food and good service. just make sure you are still sober whilst trying to make the trek to the toilets upstairs!

meals are massive sizing so you will never be left hungary , the food is well cooked and offers an amazing array of exotic meats tha are not served in any othere resaurants or at least together as s amplers,such as ,crocodile,buffalo,camel,ostrich etc.a very well set out design which makes for a very interesting dining experience for meat lovers only though!!!! mus try the lions kill and milk tart very good indeed!!!!!

There is an awesome variety of food on the menu here, and it is all absolutely delicious! It's a great place to go if you want to try something different, and you also get a gorgeous view of the harbour while you eat your meal. Remember to book ahead for the weekend though because it's always busy!
