I won't be discussing any details regarding the issue or outcome here but what I can say is that I have found them to be thorough, experienced, intelligent, co-operative, good at keeping me informed about what's happening, and reassuring. You really need a good solicitor you can trust and rely on through these stressful times. My case is on a no win/fee arrangement. The fee they've quoted me wasn't as "bad" as thought but I guess the final bill will be affected by the antics of the other side. I can't comment yet on their fees. Hounslow have branches in the suburbs of Melbourne and in country Vic. I found out about them through a friend of mine who used them and won and she said they did an excellent job.
The case has now settled in my favour but not as I hoped for. I think that my solictor did the best they could with a legal system that is fundamentally set up to protect the defendant. I think they could have done better job in preparing me for medical examinations and court. If I require PI legal assistance again I would consider Hounslow again but I would also contact some other firms and ask lots of questions. The main thing IMO is to find out if you have a strong chance of winning the case and on what grounds. I incurred some fees but they were reasonable for a legal service.
