With the cooler weather I am craving spicy, hot broth with delicious ramen noodles. My good friend wanted to go back to Ichi Bon Boshi so I came back for a visit. Ichi Bon Boshi is a casual eatery located on the top floor of the Galeries in Town Hall, Sydney CBD. It has a food court feel to it but is known for very reasonably priced meals. For about $10-15, you can get a generous sized ramen to warm you up as the weather cools down. Ichi Bon Boshi has quite a large ramen selection as well as other Japanese dishes. Highly recommend

They do good ramen here but mediocre everything else. You always have to wait for a spot. This isn't a date or family place but just a pitstop to refuel. The prices are decent for its location but unless you really love ramen there's not a lot of reason to make this a regular place.

Love the ramen here. Was my first experience of tasting good ramen and have recommended to alot of my friends. However service is very poor. Because they are so busy they treat customers as if they are disposable and don't really value them. Staff can be rude and uninviting. A sushi place has opened up downstairs and I've noticed has really divided their customer base so they aren't as busy as they used to be. And surprisingly they are trying to not be rude to their customers now and actually give service. Oh how competition can change you

I only come here for the reasonable prices and the convenience--particularly handy after a few hours in Kinokuniya. The food itself isn't anything special, and although it's all overtly Japanese, neither the noodles nor the rice dishes captures the subtle flavours of Japanese cuisine. You'd be much better off at Menya or Ippudo, which are both excellent Japanese noodle places in the city.

Overall, this restaurant sounds rather disappointing and forgettable.

One of the best Japanese noodle shop in city to sit and enjoy the food. We go there regularly and enjoy ramen and kastu. They do great chicken and fish dishes as well. Great for big group as they have big tables. The price is very reasonable and the staffs are very friendly. The food is fresh as well.

Approximate cost: $20

My husband and I love this place so much. great ramen and also their katsu don.
While many go there for ramen, I'd prefer its curry rice dishes. Its curry rice with cheese is one of my favourites in Sydney. Unlike Thai, the sauce is quick thick with a smell of cheese but not spicy.
The food quality are so good yet the price is so cheap. for $10 you can tuck you with great meal.

just next to the kinokuniya book store. So every time if I happened to go to the kinokuniya, This time I had a salmon soup, a delicious, fresh and healthy dish. I also like the fish set a great combination of different fish cooked in various ways. I will come again to have my lunch there as well. spacious and comfortable to eat. love the katsu chicken don. great value :)

love the food there, especially TAN TAN MEN, that is my routine. But really hate to go there to have my lunch! worst experience is that my colleague and I wait for 40mins to have a seat (sharing table). but if go there during afternoon should be fine. Food is lovely there.

Approximate cost: $13

This place makes one of the most authentic tonkotsu ramen or collagen-rich ramen noodles in Australia. It is so popular for this that they only make 20 bowl per day and you can only order after a specified time, eg you can't pre-order it. It is located right next to a Japanese bookstore in the Galleries in Sydney
