I moved twice with help from iMover within about a month (Feb and March 2016), due to a new house issue and my rental lease running out.
Both pairs of guys did a good job of loading and unloading my possessions (for a family of two adults and two young children, plus two extra beds and other items for a guest room).
The first move was from a single storey house to a self-storage unit. Mark & Ankit (upon request) wrapped some of the items in cling film to protect them and keep parts together, and kindly allowed me to use their hand tools to disassemble bed frames, as my own tools were understandably not easily found while moving house.
They did a very good job of stacking the items in the storage unit, to make the most of the limited space available.
With some assistance from myself, Rocky & Rob moved my stuff from the storage unit into my new two-storey house. A few heavy and bulky items had to go upstairs via a stained timber staircase with a kite-winder U-turn halfway up, which we managed to negotiate without causing any damage.

iMover management were easy to contact and pleasant to deal with.
The guys doing the grunt work were all well-mannered and polite (no bad language, which some people understandably aren't fussed about, but I personally don't care for it), with a good attitude toward the job (no grumbling or complaining, unlike some removalists I've used in the past). Yes, compared to some of the other removalists I've used, they could have been a little bit faster, but on the other hand they weren't time-wasting either, and the work they do is hard work and it's important that they look after themselves and the stuff they're moving. Also unlike some removalists I've used previously, no-one scoffed as soon as they saw some of my flat-pack furniture (e.g. Ikea shelf units) and said, "Duh, this stuff can fall apart just getting it on the trolley!" Importantly, to my knowledge, nothing was dropped, damaged or knocked against a wall, etc., especially considering the second move with the heavy and bulky items going upstairs.
Obviously I was happy with Mark & Ankit's work on the first move, or I wouldn't have gotten iMover to do the second move for me, which I was also suitably pleased with. Each occasion cost me around $450.

Approximate cost: $450

Probably the smoothest move I've done! I've moved 7 times in the last 8 years and have had horrible experiences with other removalists. iMover is definitely one of the best ones I've hired so far. They were FAST (some removalists deliberately move slowly because they are getting paid per hour!) and SMART with the way they moved my furniture. They were also very careful in handling the move (we had glass doors and mirrors on the wall). The guys that came were really nice and polite. THE only thing to watch out for is the surcharge that they ask if your place has stairs. I wasn't told about this over the phone when I booked them, so I negotiated. Other than that, it was a pretty good experience.

Looks like Imovers don't like bad reviews. This doesn't seem to show up. Secondly calling my number to leave a angry voice message is not a great customer service.
I have moved to three states and I know their pricing is way too much.
Not sure if this is a franchise. Got their info on Gumtree i think it's ridiculously expensive. Moved a table from Mount Waverly to Carnegie took about 40mins they wanted to be paid $151 for 2hrs! Of course including the $20 call out fee. Absolutely ridiculous!!

Approximate cost: $151

For legitimate companies like ours that pay insurances and taxes, we all charge a minimum of 2 hours. It is an industry standard. We have to pay our staff a minimum of 2 hours per job and they have to travel to your place and return so charging 1 hour doesn't even cover the costs. 1 staff @ $30 per hour x 2 equals $60 plus $20 fuel plus GST adds to $88. This doesn't include the truck and advertising costs. So basically if we charge the 1-hour we lose money! We explained this to you when making the booking, you accepted it but because the job didn't take so long, you have made it an issue. We didn't leave an angry voicemail but rather a disappointed voicemail because we did explain our services to you and now you have left us a negative feedback. And it's not that we don't like bad reviews, we just don't like clients that twist things or don't understand how our service works. The reason the review didn't show up is because you never verified your email address with WOMO but once again you are trying to blame us for this. Next time you select a service, please be sure to understand the agreement you are entering.

The most awful experience ever!!!! I have moved 4 times in the last 8 years and know the drill, but never thought it could get as bad as this. Two rudest guys turned up and complained about everything starting with how narrow my street was to the point of how much stuff our family of 4 has. They clearly didn't want to be there!!! When I obtained the quote I was very clear that we are moving into a 4 story house and there will be stairs and that my street is very narrow. They started loading the truck and then decided to mention that they are not taking anything up the stairs at the other end without an additional fee. Obviously this was not the deal I agreed to, so I questioned that. Without any further discussion they left my furniture on the footpath and left!! Avoid them at all costs - the boss Jason is lovely, but the people that work for him definitely let him down.

We are sincerely sorry to hear about your bad experience. We try our best to run a reputable company and sometimes hiring the wrong staff can give us a bad name. We have since dealt with this issue by firing both staff that performed your move as we do not tolerate staff that complain and see everything as being difficult. You hit the nail on the head by saying that they clearly didn't want to be there and that was the case. It can be tough hiring the right people in this industry and we have since introduced a more stringent system to ensure high quality staff. If we knew about this on the day we would have been more than happy to compensate you.

Thank you for your comment although three and half months later! I appreciate that it's hard to find good staff, but I spoke to you about this incident on the day and you did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! As a result my husband and I had to hire a track and to the move ourselves... so thank you for the afterthought

We are under new management now and it was not myself (Daniel) that you contacted.

imover are exceptional- I would highly recommend them for their politeness, their efficiency, their extremely careful handling of a very expensive antique piece of furniture with glass doors. The price is so reasonable too- I will definitely hire them again - well done imover!!!!!

their service was amazing, completely flawless, i have never seen any removalist as professional as them.

FYI, some of the crew member could understand chinese, this is really convenient for some of the international student.

This is a long overdue review, I was randomly searching the Internet for movers, that's when i saw their ads through sidebar, google adwords, is that it? anyway they made a very competitive offer, and as i was just a fresh graduates, i do not really have so much choices, that's why i decide to give them a try.

the results turns up very good, the movers are very polite and professional, consider it is really a long run, the two hours job is a very efficient one.

thank you for your help, i hope your business will growing quickly.

Great service from the receptionist, we were there to rent a storage room, she explained to us everything we need to know and showed us the location and the sizes of the units.

the admin fee is also very affordable, almost the cheapest among the companies i called.

this is really a wonderful experience, thank you very much.
