After reading an article written by Tom in Oxygen magazine, I hunted him down and asked if he could write me a one-off nutrition and exercise plan. Tom was very professional, and wrote me a thorough plan tailored specifically for my goals, dietary requirements and schedule. He's great at following up, and answering any questions I had.
I can't wait to try one of his 12 week programs in the future!

Through Tom's strategic approach to nutrition training I have learnt how to effectively manage my daily nutrition to optimise my training goals. Rather than providing a complicated regime, Tom's programming staggers changes, providing easy to manage building blocks, tailored to the individual. This approach is easy to manage and allow you to pinpoint what works for you and what doesn't. Tom really cares about his clients and takes the time to explain each stage of your programming and aims behind any changes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tom to anyone looking to learn about managing their nutrition.

I competed in the Australian Natural Bodybuilding Competition in September 2014. During my 12 months of preparation I lost 18kg and competed at 54kg. I came to IFN 2 weeks before the competition, seeking advice on reverse dieting. I signed up for the 12 week Online Body Re-composition Program, and Tom assisted me through 12 tough weeks both mentally and physically. My body and my mind were exhausted and tired from all the dieting and training. Tom’s support throughout the 12 weeks was incredible; I wouldn’t have been able to complete the reverse diet without him. He came up with a ‘game plan’ to slowly increase my calories and introduce foods back into my diet without putting on ‘more fat than normal’ and he also developed a training program for me. Tom’s enthusiasm and sound knowledge in fitness as well as Nutrition throughout the 12 weeks was unbelievable. He was generous with his time and always ensured that I understood the science behind the nutrition and exercise. I was successfully able to reverse out of my comp prep diet while putting on minimal fat and my strength at training improved out of sight. I would highly recommend IFN.

I started participating in personal training sessions with Tom just over 2 months ago. Prior to that I considered myself fit, however I struggled with specific exercises such as squats and pull ups. In the past two months I have progressed from struggling with assisted pull ups to be able to complete repeated sets of complete pull ups. I have also progressed from body weight and extremely low weight squats to over 100kg squats.
Tom's knowledge is incredible and the minor pointers he has provided me on my technique has not only given me great results but also ensured I am doing every exercise without the risk of injury.
The variety that Tom has incorporated into my training has also made me excited for every session as we are always doing something different.
I look forward to continuing my training and improved results into the future.

I was extremely happy with the service Tom from Integrated Fitness and Nutrition provided. He was very helpful, knowledgable and genuine. The nutrition and exercise programs he created for me were in depth, personalised and sped up both my strength and weight loss progression immensely. As both a customer of IFN and someone working in the fitness industry, I would highly recommend Tom and IFN to anybody looking to improve their health and fitness results or begin their health and fitness journey!

I've trained for a few years with different trainers and spoken to different people about diet. Tom has an extensive knowledge of all areas of fitness and nutrition and he really set me on track with the areas I wanted to work on. Highly recommend giving him a call to either start your fitness or keep it going!

When I first came to Tom re: training I had specific goals in mind.

I was having trouble maintaining a routine and was easily thrown off it if I missed a session. I was travelling a bit on weekends and if I didn't meal prep or missed a training session I'd essentially give up on that week. I had an inconsistent diet and had a lot trouble building upper body strength due to an old elbow injury.

I've had 2 elbow reconstructions and when running my own training I'd try and progress things too quickly or poorly choose exercises and end up aggravating the elbow. This led to missing training sessions and i'd fall behind very quickly.

Tom has tailored a program around my specific goals and has helped me achieve everything I set out to. Despite not being a morning person I train out at IFN 3 times a week before work. Tom has helped me develop and maintain a routine that is flexible with my schedule.

Training wise, I wanted to focus on building upper body strength and confidence around that elbow, and specifically focus on bodyweight exercises such as squats, pull ups and push ups. Tom put me through progressive exercises, while always being mindful of my injury, to strengthen the muscles around my elbow and has helped me build upper body strength. Thanks to the work Tom has put in, I have the most confidence in my elbow and upper body strength that I have had since my surgeries. He has also helped me improve my squat technique which has seen me go from not squatting prior to the program to hitting a 110kg back squat within 10 weeks.

I highly recommend the IFN programs to anyone.

I originally came across Tom through a workplace wellness check. While the health checks are an annual initiative at my work Tom's visit was the first time the nutritional concepts weren't generic "eat less, move more" mantras repeated to each person that came through the door irrespective of their lifestyle or goals.

A few months down the track and I was looking to maximise my existing training, and knew that the biggest barrier to me seeing really great results from the work I was already putting in was my nutritional choices, so Integrated Fitness and Nutrition made perfect sense and I undertook the 12 Week Online Body Recomposition Program.

Dietary changes were introduced gradually, which avoided that feeling of approaching an insurmountable challenge that often occurs when trying to modify your eating habits or lifestyle, and as we progressed through the program and tried a number of different nutritional protocols or made training adjustments Tom was always sure to touch base and see how I was feeling or if I had any questions relating to what we were trying.

I found Tom to be incredibly generous with both his time and knowledge when it came to making sure I understood what we were doing and why he thought it would be a good option for me and I would recommend an IFN recomposition program to anyone who is serious about making positive and sustainable changes to their nutritional and training choices. Body composition analysis showed that I lost >4kg of fat AND built muscle mass and bone mineral content whilst on the program, which is a great indicator of good training supported by excellent nutrition - and I definitely never went hungry.

In addition to the recomposition program I have undertaken both PT and small group training with Tom at House of Reps, and if you're looking for some great programming, form check, or just an approachable and knowledgeable trainer in a private space at a convenient Canberra location then IFN will have a service offering to suit.
