another bad experience to add to the pile. I had organized flowers to be sent to my Grandmother for her birthday. they were delivered to the incorrect address. when she finally received them, they were half dead. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY

I also had a disappointing experience with interflora. I sent flowers to my mum, at considerable expense, only to find out that they were left with the nieghbour across the street! Mum didn't get the flowers until the next day and they were all dead within a week. Very disappointing.

Approximate cost: $80

I used Interflora to send flowers to my Mum for her birthday a few years ago. The flowers are selected from a catalogue at the florist and absolutely nothing is cheap. So I knew what I was getting and knew if I brought the same thing direct from a florist myself I would probably not pay any more than about $25 though interflora were priced at about $70 for my selection.

Despite this I wanted the flowers delivered and you would assume from the price that it would be something special so I gave it a go. I organised that someone would be home to collect the flowers if Mum was out. Time went on and no delivery (an estimated delivery time had been proposed before this so I knew roughly when to expect them). Well we ended up calling Interflora to see what happened to the order. They took our details then ended the call to chase it up on their end. When they called back we were told the delivery had been but no one answered the door (i don't know how loud they knocked or how long they waited as people were definately home) and instead of leaving the flowers at the door the delivery person dropped them off with the next door neighbours for them to mind/drop off later!

This to me is totally bizarre, we know the neighbours but the delivery person doesn't know that and for all they know we hate our neighbours and the flowers may never have been retrieved! As the neighbours would have no idea who was home and who wasn't the surprise ended up spoiled and someone went next door to collect them. After all of this I saw the flowers myself maybe a week later and they were really nothing special and also died very quickly. I know flowers don't last forever but the memory should and not in a bad way. I would not use them again and in future will just deal with florists direct over the phone with my credit card and hope for the best and if things dont work out at least I will have saved on the money front.
