I visited this winery as part of a group tour and Jeanette was just beautiful. First group of the day and she was just so lovely and informative and so friendly and easy going showing us through the back area to get a real perspective look of how the wine is made. Lovely wines both red and white and as a white drinker I even enjoyed the reds. Roger the wine maker even made the effort to pop his head in and say a quick hello and have a chat with the group even though he had such a busy day ahead of him. Beautiful Spanish inspired winery that really is a must on any trip up to the Hunter Valley. I have driven past quite a few times but never ventured inside and now it will be on my favourites list!
The wines are all well priced and I am sure you will find at least a few to add to your cellar. Such lovely and personal service so again thank you so so very much.

This is easily my favourite winery in the Hunter. It is one of the only wineries in the Hunter to still pick the grapes by hand. I have been there every visit that I make for the last few years and it never fails to produce. Definitely try their Shiraz, its fantastic! Also, the sweet shiraz was simply amazing, they give it to you with chocolate and words cant describe how good it tastes!

Also got to meet the owner who is a great guy!

This is my favourite winery and vineyard in the hunter valley area . The winery is state of the art and very modern . Absolutely gorgeous . I've actually had professional photos done here because of how beautiful it is . The winery staff are very polite , and know what they are talking about and were more then happy to answer any questions . I highly recommend to any wine drinkers to try the mileno . Highly recommend including iron gate as a part of any wine tour . 10 out of 10.

Iron Gate Estate is my favourite winery I have visited to date. I thoroughly enjoyed doing a wine tasting here, the gentleman who guided us was both witty and knowledgeable. I learnt so much about the different grapes and the wine-making process whilst visiting Iron Gate. I like that they have the vineyards but also produce the wine on location. Iron Gate Estate had the most beautiful grounds and a distinctly European feel and look about its buildings. My husband and I bought so much wine here and we will certainly be stocking up again on our next visit to the Hunter Valley. Iron Gate Estate was warm, inviting, educational and I would recommend this winery to everybody.
