The Ivy is a great addition to the city, the place looks amazing, great drinks and nice atmosphere. Definitely what I call upmarket.
HUGE place! coming from melbourne where bars and clubs are plentiful i've never seen anything of this size!
i found it cool how for every section there's a different music theme
and also heaps of seating, bit bummed i couldn't find the pool though it was a bit of a maze!
not liking the fact how it's next to this other bar, pacha, which confused me
Fantastic food, drinks are standard price for the Sydney CBD and it is spacious with level 1 for food and the rest being bars. I saw a few people reviewing before me complaining about the pretentious people coming here but I haven't experienced that much, it's an up-scale bar so is to be expected though. Food tastes amazing but is fairly expensive, highly recommend the steak and the peanut butter icecream.

Great place to network with the wider work crowd. Cost of drinks is no different to other similar CBD venues. I don't mind pretentious people, but can't stand try-hards, of which there are many. A lot of people parading around checking out who is checking THEM out, a source of amusement really!

The staff at this venue are lovely but i find the people who some here regularly are a bit snobby. the drinks are more expensive here than some of the other nice bars around town.
This place has a great atmosphere and a classier feel than some of the other night spots around Sydney. Can be a bit pricey but is a nice place to come when you want a night out with friends in a more mature scene.

Love it @ Ivy!!! Great atmosphere and the people are great too...Most of the time...Ive never really had a bad experience with this place. Love to go here with friends...Drinks can be a little pricey but I think everything else makes up for it =D
Real cool and trendy Sydney Bar & nightclub. It is set-up real nice. The drinks are a bit expensive, but consistent with other Sydney bars and clubs. The music is good and the atmosphere is good. Unfortunately The Ivy does attract a lot of try-hard people who mostly want to be seen, looked at and admired. This pretentious attitude has put me off going in recent times unless I am attending for work networking.
Okay the place looks nice, staff are quite friendly most of the times. Drinks aren't the most affordable or competitive, but considering the kind of establishment it is, it's not unheard of.
Business, in my opinion runs quite nicely, but likes someone else has mentioned before, a lot of people come here just to show off, at least that's the feeling I get. I'm sure it's not the management's fault, but never the less it is having an impact on my overall experience.

Sounds bad, hate pretentious crowds. Other people I know feel the same about this place - I'll take your advice and avoid this particular experience.
Fantastic music and great atmosphere for a good night out. Grab some food, drinks or just head there for a night of dancing- you choose!
It's a total rip off.
Most expensive cocktails I have ever paid for.
Would rather get my own booze and get drunk for less than they charge for one standard drink.
Also too expensive to get in, too hard to get in, and they are not willing to help with Guest Lists for parties etc
