I found management in this business to be extremely rude and lacking in customer service skills. Following a misunderstanding as to booking time, I was treated aggressively and with sarcasm. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

My first experience there was good and while there I was offered a voucher for 5 massages at $200, which I accepted. I had to pay using cash because they charged fees for using credit card. Every time I tried to book for a massage, I was told they were fully booked. When I did managed to get a massage, I was given a very inexperienced person who didn't know how to do a proper massage. My 3rd massage was so horrible that I had severe back pain that lasted a week after the massage. I had to spend more money to go to a proper/certified masseur to fix my back. I asked for refund and was told I will not be getting any. I wished I had pay using credit card because then I could at least claim for charge back. I have told everyone I know to avoid this place like a plaque. They employ people from China/Taiwan who are here on Holiday Visa who have no massage experience. I know this from speaking to the masseur.

Rude staff!!! Don't buy the membership card from them, I bought a package, they just don't give me an appointment saying last time you booked a time and did not call us to cancel so our boss told us not giving you another appointment, which was shocking! First of all I had bought a pack which was 5 appointments, second I had call them but they don't always pick up the phone and could not keep contacting them!!! As soon as the money has been payed their behavior would be changed in a very disrespectful way. [redacted inflammatory comment]

Terrible booking process and service!! Don't bother if you've bought a voucher from Scoopon/Groupon... you're not allowed special members only appointment times and you're told to submit a booking online... they've well and truly put me right off

Bought a coupon for IPL; the service was horrible. They gave me fewer "shots" than a normal sessions and didn't go over the area for a few times. After 5 sessions there was no result, no lighter hair, no hair loss at all.

There was 1 session the towel I lied on was wet, and the technician told me it might be from the previous customer. Really? You're supposed to change the towel between customers, especially when they can feel that it's wet.

Groupon users second class customers
Read good things online so bought a groupon. Made an online booking providing my groupon voucher codes. Asked to confirm booking via sms and online but did not receive any response. When I called the day before to confirm booking they did not have my booking but had availability this afternoon and tommorrow. As soon as I mention Groupon voucher they would not give a booking for a couple of months! Do not waste time with them!

I had a massage here for the first time for 60 mins. My masseuse was Ayako. She was amazing. Next time i visit Melbourne hope she is there. Best massage I have had. I almost fell asleep!

The cleanest, most professional massage salon that I have found in ages. I don't mind the standard chinese massage shops for a 15 minute neck massage but for an hour of affordable luxury, I'd visit Izumi again.

I have been to Izumi 3 times now and each time have had an excellent massage. The therapists are professional and intuitive and the massage technique is both relaxing and restorative. I have back and shoulder pain and always get relief from their massage. I would HIGHLY recommend Izumi, and do to all my friends.
