Do not take your car to be serviced here. The apparently friendly staff are a front for a business which doesn't know how to basically service a car properly. I bought my used Ford through Jarvis and had it serviced here every 10,000kms under the compulsory used car warranty/service agreement from 40,000kms through to 90,000kms. I then realised myself around 80,000kms that the transmission was slipping quite badly. So I asked them to look into it, a few more visits and several hundred dollars later they tell me 'we don't know what's wrong with it but it needs to be replaced', at a cost of several thousand. I looked into it further and then realised in my service history that they hadn't completed nor advised me in any way that the car required some specific service items at 60,000kms (B service), including checking and changing the transmission fluids and other significant items. I approached Jarvis and Ford Australia and suggested they pay for the trans replacement, given they hadn't serviced it properly and it was under warranty and it had done only 90,000kms. They advised they wouldn't pay for it, with Ford Australia denying any claim on the basis of inadequate servicing despite it being serviced as per warranty agreement at a Ford dealership! So don't waste your time with Jarvis Ford, despite them being an 'RAA Approved Repairer' as it may end up costing you more money and time...

Jarvis Subaru were recommended to me by work place benefits , I was contacted by Jed within 30 mins and an appointment made for the next day . Jed told me everything i needed to know and explained in detail my cars journey and time frame. Everything he said went without a hitch with regular updates . I had a bad experience with another Subaru dealership in Adelaide(Not Jarvis) and in the end I got a better car at a cheaper price and I am driving it now whereas I would still be waiting. Jed Kerin at Jarvis Subaru in the West Tce showroom was brilliant in fact the whole team were so welcoming and friendly.

Approximate cost: $30.000

I went to Jarvis Subaru to buy my new car. I know what I wanted and I specified exactly what I wanted to the staff and asked them if they had it in stock. Two staff members told me they didn't have what I wanted but that they had a more basic model in stock - not in the colour that I wanted. They said it was end of year stock so there wasn't anything else. As I was signing the forms, I noticed that in the 2nd showroom they had what looked like exactly the car I wanted. I queried them about the car - they said "oh...you didn't say you were willing to spend that much. You wouldn't want it anyway - you are paying a lot more but there's not much difference between that one and the one you are buying." (I did not specify what I was willing to spend at any time). My husband who is a car fanatic then looked over the car - it had the WRX racing seats, the WRX body, Kenwood stereo system, twin cam overhead, and ABS braking system (the things that the other car didn't have). I suspected that because it was the last car in stock with so many added bonuses, one of the staff members was hoping it wouldn't sell so they could buy it at staff rates. I was furious! Needless to say, I eventually got the car I wanted...but was very very disappointed that I was treated so poorly.
