I have been using the Jolly Greengrocer fruit and delivery service for a number of years. It is a business owned by a local family who care very much about the service they provide. The produce is always very fresh and of excellent quality. Customers can order online or over the phone, and you can purchase boxes of "staple" fruit and veg or customise your order using the spreadsheet that is emailed weekly.

Brett also updates his blog weekly to advise what produce is in season , cost, quality, etc. The Facebook page provides links to terrific recipes. The price is higher than at the supermarket but worth it because the fruit and veg is of a much higher quality and lasts a lot longer.

Delivery to your door saves time shopping and means that there's always good food to eat. You don't have to be at home either - they will leave the delivery in a safe spot or with a neighbour. There's also the feel-good factor of supporting a local business instead of the the big supermarkets. Highly recommended!
