One thing we wanted from our wedding was for it to be carefree and effortless, and man did we strike the jackpot with our celebrant.

He felt like an old friend from the moment we met him, kind, funny and most importantly understanding.

The words he spoke prior to our vows were just as effortless as the day, not rigid or scripted but a free flowing love letter to love and connection, he is incredible at what he does and there was not a dry eye in the house!

I won’t be getting married again, but god if I did I know who I’d have as our celebrant, I will have to settle for telling everyone I know and everyone I don’t about him!

I started following Josh long before I knew I would need a celebrant, I was drawn to his friendly, funny and calm personality. When my now husband proposed and we started planning I already knew who I wanted and I am so glad we did. From the beginning he made us feel like nothing was ever a problem, this was our day and he was there to help. The ceremony was everything we could ask for and more, he made us feel special and at peace especially with a whole host of nerves flying around. There was never an awkward moment and he made sure everyone knew that the day was about us instead of having an audience of phones. We asked Josh to help us Mc our wedding and almost all our guests asked me who he was and how great he was. He made us all laugh and was able to tame the crowd, in a light-hearted and respectful way. I can’t thank Josh enough for everything he did for us and how his imprint made our day even more of an inspiration.

Josh married my wife and I 10 years ago. I know you might be thinking, why wait 10 years to write a review. Firstly, I like to really test things before I write any review, that way you know I have given it every chance to be bad. And secondly, even now when I think of the day there isn't anything I would change. That is a big help to Josh. Nothing was normal, and that was the way we liked it. Josh questioned the traditions that we talked about and made us realise we were only doing them because we had seen it before. Not because we actually wanted it. Josh and Britt were professional and communicated well and all that other stuff you want. But they were different! which is why we liked them and why our wedding has stood out as being unique from the rest. So after 10 good years, thank you Josh!

Josh was awesome, genuine and very approachable. Having been to enough weddings where a celebrant read from a script (and put the guests to sleep in the process), we were sure that was not the ceremony or atmosphere we wanted and thankfully with Josh as our celebrant, that wasn’t the ceremony we got! Josh doesn’t read from a script, is fun and somehow just puts you at ease on one of the most important days of your life. Josh is professional, always contactable and went out of his way to meet up with us in Sydney when he was in town. If you want a ceremony that is friendly, fun and not at all boring, Josh is your guy. Thank you Josh, you are a legend.

Josh is not like us. He returns emails promptly, he has a cool haircut, an awesome bow tie collection, a passion for statistics about people's favourite ice cream flavour and if he were to write a review for us... It wouldn't take nearly 4 months to write it. That's because Josh is awesome!

Josh provided us with friendly, prompt and professional service. He also gave us the greatest wedding gift a couple could ask for. He gave us a beautiful, funny and love filled ceremony. He was interested in getting to know us and created a ceremony to suit. He encouraged our love ones to be involved in our ceremony, made us laugh and ensured our best man gave the groom a high five when the bride said he was handsome. Josh keeps weddings real.

Josh gets excited about the stuff we didn't want to think about. He has a rad PA system that we could hook our phones up to for music. Josh ensured all our paper work was correct. Josh did not do the annoying confirmation call days before the wedding (when we were super busy) and we didn't feel the need to call him. If Josh says he will be there he will. Because Josh cares.

We couldn't recommend him enough if we tried. You can't put a price on the value of a down to earth ceremony, and Josh is just the man for the job.

From the moment we met Josh we knew we had found the man that was going to marry us! He made our ceremony so personalised and fun that our guests haven't been able to stop talking about it! His weekly newsletters and quick response to emails made the planning process a piece of cake! So if you want fun laughter and a well dressed man at your wedding go with Josh!

Josh was absolutely AMAZING. While our ceremony felt like it was made just for us and that we were the only ones there, but our guests also said they enjoyed our ceremony more than any previous family weddings, no stuffiness and long winded meanings of marragies here! I wouldn't even continue looking for a celebrant after you found Josh just give him a call, message, email, skype or contact him on social media he is everywhere!!! Not enough stars to rate with...101/100!!! Josh was originally the 1st thing I booked as we all know a wedding needs celebrant, no wedding ever starts with a salad! I phoned Josh to not necessarily book but make an enquiry and from that 1st phone conversation with him I knew he was the one for us & now that we are finally marriedbyjosh I knew we made the right decision! Professional, dedicated & committed he was a barrel of laughs and exactly what we wanted & needed. Couldn't imagine our wedding day without him!

Josh is amazing he makes you feel Very comfortable and is just like talking to a great friend. He made our wedding fun with lots of laughs and smiles! He answered any question we had and even answered our phone call on his own wedding anniversary!!! True passion and commitment for his profession and towards his clients!! Couldn't imagine our wedding without Josh.

Amazing celebrant with a great attitude! You could listen to josh marry you all day every day! :)

I'm only Giving Josh 5 stars because it doesn't go any higher!! one word AMAZING! He was so great, he made us all so comfortable, he worked the crowd and had everyone cheering and clapping. Could not recommend a greater guy.

Josh was brilliant, he kept the guests laughing while they had a bit of a wait as my mother wasn't feeling well. He gave our ceremony lots of laughs but also allowed the emotions of the event shine through. We got lots of comments from our guests of how great he was. I would highly recommend giving Josh a call.

If you are looking for someone fun, light hearted and really just plain awesome for a celebrant - look no further.
We can honestly say that our ceremony will not be forgotten for a long time to come! Josh while still serious about the legal side of the proceedings still managed to have us and our guests laughing the whole way through.

When Sean and I discussed our wedding we agreed quickly that we wanted something simple, intimate and romantic… oh and just us. This made selecting a celebrant even more stressful, after all they would be one of a select few we would share our wedding day with. Get it wrong and it would ruin the moment!

Being in my 30s and Sean in his 40s we’d been to our fair share of weddings, naming days etc and so we had a clear idea of what we didn’t want in a celebrant. More than someone who just led us through the motions or bored us to tears with a long scripted eulogy on love with their nose buried in a book, we wanted someone who could reflect on the beauty of marriage with emotion and authenticity whilst being down to earth and fun – basically an eloquent mate. Josh was all of this and so much more. He spoke from the heart, he was natural and real.

It is clear Josh takes huge joy in what he does and helping you create a ceremony that is authentic to you is at the heart of it. Josh encouraged us to write our own vows, something I had always been keen to do but Sean was definitely not so sure. Something Josh said to Sean really resonated for us – ‘Just remember, if you’re not saying your own words you’re saying someone else’s.’ I know Sean found it difficult putting what he wanted to say in his own words, but it really made our ceremony so incredibly romantic and personal.

Josh is a fun and refreshing celebrant who brought his heart and soul to our wedding-for-two as comfortably as I’m sure he could for a wedding with 200 guests. He’s incredibly intuitive and eager to fit in with your ideas and dreams for your day. He’s someone who most certainly adds to the magic and takes nothing away!

We cannot recommend him more highly. You will never regret choosing him!

Josh is funny, warm, bubbly, enthusiastic and loves everything about marriage. All of that combined makes him the perfect wedding celebrant if you are after a light, honest and warm wedding ceremony. We were - and he delivered in absolutely every sense of the word.

When I think celebrant I think “Boring old guy or lady with a bob hair cut”. When we first met Josh he told us there is no reason the ceremony has to be the boring part of the day. Josh bought the right amount of humour to make the formal part of the day memorable, different and interesting. Glad we came across Josh!

From the moment we found Josh at the Vintage and Handmade Wedding Fair, we knew he was ‘the one' and our coffee date sealed the deal. We left our meeting so excited to have Josh marry us. Finding the perfect celebrant was of utmost importance and we found that in Josh. He is without doubt the most wonderful person and we could not have imagined anyone else to officiate our marriage and kick start the next chapter in our lives.
It is so refreshing to be in the presence of someone who is as truly passionate and excited about your marriage as you are! His vibrancy and zest for life is so invigorating and contagious, you can't help but smile when he is around.
The entire planning process was simple and stress free. His ability to keep everything cool, calm and collected is nothing short of incredible. Josh gave us the most precious gift by creating a ceremony that was non traditional, fun and most importantly us.

Josh assisted in providing the relaxed vibe we were after for our wedding day. He was relaxed, allowed us to be quite creative with our vows, while also being professional. I will be recommending him to our friends.

From the get go, Chris and I never really wanted a wedding in the “traditional” sense. Neither of us is religious and we both have a significant distain for weddings that drone on and drag out. The very first thing we decided on when we were planning our big day was to make sure we had a celebrant who “got us”. Not someone who was going to get up and read a piece of legislation and then wax lyrical about marriage and all it entails, but someone who understood who we were as individuals but also who we are as a unit. While we both think we're an extremely compatible match, we're still our own people and this needed to be recognised.

Josh was a amazing. He understood exactly what we meant when we said “we don't want to fall asleep”. Josh is a professional purveyor of fun, light hearted and touching wedding celebrations, but he still makes sure that the seriousness of the moment is woven into the lining of what he says. He had a clear understanding of what we wanted from this moment in time and did not fail to deliver.

Josh is also not a show pony. He has this brilliant ability to make you feel completely relaxed in what is one of the most nerve wracking, public moments of your life (which in this bride's case only hit home 10 minutes before she hit the aisle!). He is capable of encapsulating an entire crowd and maintaining their attention but then re-directing that attention to the two people who the day is supposed to be about. His ability as a speaker is only surpassed by his ability as humourist.

In writing this, I want to make it exactly like our wedding ceremony, short, sweet, to the point and honest. There is not one part of our ceremony that we didn't love. We had very specific requests about our ceremony in that we didn't want it to be your stock standard, stiff as a board celebrant delivered monotone procedural. If there was an Olympics for celebrants, they'd have to make a medal just for Josh, I kid you not, he's THAT good. Josh brought everything to our day that we wanted and more.

Josh, from the bottom of our hearts, we can't thank you enough. You got us, understood us, supported us and guided us with everything we needed to do. You helped us make it the best day of our lives and we couldn't have done it without you! In all seriousness , the time, effort and actual love you put into your "job" (if you can call having that much fun a job...) and getting to know your couples really did shine through. We don't just consider you our celebrant, we consider you our friend. Thank you so very much!

Josh did an amazing job with our ceremony – his enthusiasm and personality made for an excellent experience I look back on with nothing but smiles. Josh isn't like any other celebrant we've seen, we highly recommend him for your big day!

You asked if there was any piece of advice that I could offer any of your brides out there and there would be one thing… Don't Stress!!! You have the man of your dreams and the best celebrant so everything else are minor details. People commented on how calm I was which is unusual for me, I am the worrier of this relationship. But I knew I had nothing to be concerned about, Paul would be there and you would have everything else under control. For that Josh, I can't thank you enough. The ceremony was perfect and said everything we wanted too but just didn't know how.
