What a company I've sent emails and rang.101 times never get back to me im going interstate want a quote all you get is a answering service useless not recommending them to any one

Recently moved from Darwin to the Gold Coast with Kent removals the damage to my household items was incredible beds on able to be used pictures smashed Christmas decorations destroyed coffee tables totally smashed if you want your equipment smash then go with Kent

Appalling service. I spent thousands of dollars in a package deal to pack, clean my unit, move, store and relocate my goods. Everything from the quote to poor packing which damaged my goods to an insurance claim left me out of pocket. I would never use Kent again.

The men from Kent were extremely professional, careful with all furniture removing and reinstalling after new carpet was laid ! Bought clean runners to walk back in on new light carpet ! Would recommend to anyone! With pleasure !

No definitely not

Unfortunately we have had a bad experience in Perth.
The packing and the move took way longer than we had initially discussed. It was an hourly rate, but obviously I asked for some indication as to roughly how long it would take. We have an average 4 bed smallish one level bungalow, 2 bathroom, 2 living areas. It took 9 and a half hours to pack on day 1 and more on day 2 to move. That was twice the estimated amount of time. We had got rid of a lot of our large furniture 2 years ago when we moved to Perth so we have only an average amount of items and furniture for a family of 5. Packing was tediously slow and when we opened our boxes yesterday many were only half full and the rest stuffed with paper. Way too many boxes and paper were used and sometimes for completely unbreakable items such as a small child’s plastic cup and plastic plates. Another example is one small food processor being the only thing put into a very large box.

Another major issue was all the many items that were left behind in our first house. I took many photos of this. Whole cupboards unemptied, pictures, photos, rugs etc etc all left behind. A very shoddy job. They couldn’t just have been overlooked as they were in some cases lying in the middle of the rooms. It was not at all what one would expect from professional movers.

At the end of the job I wrote on the sign off papers that I did not authorise any payment to be taken off my credit card until I had spoken to someone senior at Kent on the Monday morning. The head mover spoke to his supervisor whilst I was there and came back to me and assured me no payment would go through my account until I had spoken to Kent and agreed the bill. Yet an amount, completlely unauthorised by me of over $5000 was put on my card! No consent in fact clear non consent was expressed.

It’s all very disappointing as we went with Kent thinking, unlike many other movers out there, that we would get a good and professional service. It was incredibly slow and very unsatisfactory and we are left very disappointed.

My experience with Kent Removals was no a pleasent one at that. The salesman I spoke to was polite well versed in removals, the removalist arrived earlier and from there it was down hill.

I opted for the Packing option as it was a short notice interstate move. The Uplift itself took over 8 hours. There were three removalist to pack a two bedroom apartment. During the packing two of the removalists would disappear for hours on end with the thrid stating that they were most likely looking at woman. When they were present they were goofing off and mucking around and took zero care in packing. Electronics where shoved to the bottom of boxes, there was no sense of organisation.

The lengthy time in moving caused problems with the building management. After 8 hours the removalists stated that they had finished yet upon inspection three cupboards had not been packed. They advised that they had run out of boxes and would send someone the following day.

The following day I recieved a call saying I was under quoted and had to pay an additional $800 for the extra boxes that need to be packed. When I unpacked on the other end I found that their packing practices where very poor. One box was used to pack small plastic coffee machine and so much space had been wasted.

The extra box did not arrive for over two weeks, I had to call to find out where it was after two weeks and had to wait and additional 5 days as their schedule was to full.

I left feedback and was promptly called by the Regional Manager, he wanted to get a better understanding of my experience. I was given $250 refund, however this was appreciated however it did not make up for the poor expereince and the additional out of pocket costs due to poor packing practices.

I leave this review just to help raise awareness, take the time to look around. Don't simply trust a smiling face.
