They told us after having our car towed to them that we needed a new ignition coil & having that fitted etc would cost approx $1100. After installing that, they told us we needed an air-flow control meter which they said had to come from Germany taking 3-4 wks (cost approx $800). We managed to source the brand new meter for them through another repairshop ($485) and they still could'nt get our engine going, blaming it on the part we got (because they'd run out of ideas). Finally we had it towed to another repairer who has got our car going (saying that the airflow control meter was fine). Kmart Tyre & Auto MT Gravatt are incompetent RIP-OFF merchants who had the cheek to include a road test drive on their invoice and put 6x $30 spark plugs in without even consulting us first. Be very AWARE - KEEP AWAY and especially tell your poor old mums to go elsewhere.

Approximate cost: $They overcharge for parts.

Probably a bit generous giving them even one star for Quality and Value!

So many experiences with mechanics seem to be like this...have to wonder if its part of the training?

Great service, very helpful and gave the best price. They also ensured they returned my call when they said they would, resulting in me getting the work done promptly.

Approximate cost: $520
