We had a 2 night short vacation in Melbourne and stayed at The Langham. I love this hotel especially with our upgrade to an executive room with access to the executive lounge. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and attentive. The pool and spa area is beautiful and I love the sauna area. The location was perfect for our trip.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. No internet is the only worry but overall had a nice stay. My room was overlooking the Yarra which was quite a sight. I definitely recommend Langham to my friends and family. Thanks Langham.

The Langham is probably my favourite hotel. It is luxurious without being posh and the design is just beautiful. I feel like a princess when staying here as the rooms are so pretty but not girly. The hotel is right on Southgate so great restaurants are just a trip down the lift and 100m away. The Langham has a nice pool and spa with spectacular views of the city-a great spot to laze away the afternoon at. There is a buffet restaurant available for breakfast, lunch and dinner but this is an added cost to the rooms. It is definitely a hotel to stay at for a special occasion.

We got a really good deal that included a buffet breakfast (which I can imagin would be rather expensive if it wasnt included in the deal). It had the best range and quality of food of any place we have stayed in. The pool area was amazing and the staff were all friendly. Would stay here again

Always wanted to go to the Langham, even more so now with this description of the food!

The Hotel has a classic entrance up the escalators to the bar and restaurant. Both very decadent in its own right. The buffet is one of Melb's best but is quite expensive. I was a little disappointed with the rooms compared to the rest of the hotel. The pool/spa has one of the best views in melbourne. A classic hotel really, just too expensive on most occasions.

I agree with your comment entirly. It has been some years since I stayed there, but the last time I did I felt the room really needed upgrading, was getting very worn and tired. BUT, the buffet style dinner, if thats what you can call them is amazing. Best I have every seen, triely 5 star. Shame about the rooms.

My daughter emailed the restaurant to get information on Gluten free options with the menu. Return email suggested talking to the chef on the night. Reluctant to book (workplace dinner) because unable to plan ahead, and not information on dietary requirements. For a $100 approx buffet she needs to know if she will be able to at least eat something! It is not difficult to let us know if items such as gravy and sauces are gluten free, even if the menu changes from time to time. If local pubs can give Gluten free information, surely a restaurant of this callibur should be able to provide similar information.
I have visited this restaurant, and the food is brilliant.

The rooms are great, My partner and I stayed here after a wedding & unfortunatley had been booked in the wrong room. Wasn't happy with waiting around after a long day we just wanted to go straight to bed, but the manager was fantastic and handled the situation perfectly and promptly, because i probably looked very tired and miserable we got a free upgrade for the inconvenience. Buffet is expensive, but worth it in my opinion. Would stay agaon

The service and the food is great. The buffet is wonderful and has a lot of dishes .However, it is expensive when compared to Crown. Would be a great place to celebrate the special occassions. The hotel also charges 1.5% surcharge on all credit card payments. Would definitely recommend to try once

We stayed in this hotel as part of the Peppermint High Tea party event and fell in love with it. The Health Centre facilities are first rate, including the swimming pool, spa, sauna and change rooms. The gym is available to premium members of the Langham loyalty scheme. With four different eateries and the to die for view over the Yarra River, this hotel is one of the best in Melbourne.

We have only stayed in the Club Terrace room and once you have stayed in that room, you really don't want to consider any other room. The terrace itself is fabulous. The room is lovely and it has a separate shower which is a bonus. Love the club lounge. Fantastic choice for breakfast. Lovely choice of nibbles for afternoon tea (similar to high tea) tasty canapés in the evening. Staff were very friendly, inviting and efficient.

What an amazing hotel! It's like stepping onto a movie set, so beautiful, luxurious and well run. The Langham Club is A M A Z I N G and serves up wonderful food from everywhere with very helpful, personable staff. The rooftop pool and spa have great views over the city. The BEST Hotel we've ever stayed in.

We loved our night at the Langham. It is pricey but wonderful for a special event. We stayed overnight and went out for a movie and dinner at Crown and Southbank nearby. The entrance is beautiful and feels very special. We didn't take bathers but should have as the spa overlooks the river and would be magnificent at sunset. We paid extra for a river view which was worth it. The Langham is pricey but the price is reflected in the quality of the room fittings and the service and cleanliness.

Have been to Melbas at the Langham Hotel a few times and the food has been great! A bit pricey but definately worth it if you like unlimited sushi and sashimi, umlimited pecking duck, indian foods and other kinds of seafood.

Great service on all occasions.

Pretty nice food, polite service, beautiful hotel - couldn't eat my $89 worth but still had a good time overall. A bit more personalised service and maybe someone checking if we'd like any drinks or anything wouldn't hurt though for next time.

Grand lobby, stunning views from the spa next to the pool, exclusive spa treatments in a state of the art spa facility that will make you take notice and wonder who did the décor, perfect location on Southbank-
My husband and I spent hours there and walking around the city at night after a swim and dinner made us rediscover our capital city and we felt like on a real holiday.
Staff typical of a 5 star hotel, well-trained but lacking the personal touch (no greetings in the corridor, staff looks partly overworked), possibly unavoidable due to the size of the hotel- Best hotel in Melbourne nevertheless with the Hyatt- Couldn't get enough of the views...

i think the langham is a hotel of its own, its a very welcoming hotel and has its own class, very nice to stay at, except one little factor, i ate a chocolate bar from the mini bar and realized it was out of date, but they dealt with the situation really good.

Brilliant location, we overlooked the river in a beautifully decorated room that had all the trimmings. Usually expensive, but if you book early it does decrease the cost.

Melba's array of food proves to be a gastronimical delight and is definitely worth the money. Wear something loose so that you have extra room and get a table by the window so you can watch the street theatre!

The overall experience at the Sheraton as it was known then, was exceptional. We chose the Alto, which has a balcony overlooking the Yarra River.

The number of guests was limited due to the smaller room, but it also meant that we had a cosy, intimate wedding with people we really wanted to share the experience with. The food was one to die for.

We had a lunchtime reception so that we could relax in the evening to open gifts etc in our hotel room with other family members and overseas guests.

Service was excellent, fantastic offer on the wine and beautiful view of the Yarra river. What more could you ask for.
