Have been to the cafe for many different occasions. The food is usually delicious, the staff are generally friendly and helpful, however I do find the food quite over priced for a cafe.

I had lunch here recently and ordered a vegetarian dish which had asparagus fritters and some grilled vegetables with a beetroot reduction sauce, which sounded quite unusual so I thought I would try it. It was very tasty and the beetroot sauce was really sweet and delicious it's my new favourite type of sauce now! The serving size was a little small, it could have done with a little side salad or chips, but it was very well presented like a dish at a fine dining restaurant. The spot was really nice and peaceful by the river and they had some good magazines on hand for me to read while I was waiting. However it did take a fair while to be served initially, the food itself didn't take long to come out. The waitress was quite friendly.

Great relaxing atmosphere and value for money.Very tasty food and excellent service provided by the friendliest staff in town.
We were also able to use our Lyoness loyalty cash back card at Lavenders. We are saving as we eat and drink.
Love the Withams coffee & tea.

Approximate cost: $25

This little cafe is nice and secluded at the end of the alley way overlooking the river. We sat in the booth area inside as it was a bit windy and the kids had the biggest cola spiders ever. Coffee has a lovely taste to match the outlook, priced a little high but still ok. If staff spent a little less time talking to themselves they may interact with the patrons a bit more but it was still pleasant.

I often go here for either a coffee or a quick lunch. The food is great, price is a little high (but bearable for the taste) and the service is very good.

Approximate cost: $20.00

Lavender's cafe is in a lovely part of Maitland, right near the river. They have a good menu. There is a lovely big tree in the outdoors area that gives a relaxing theme to the cafe. Prices are average and the food is excellent.
