It is a busy place. Managed to get a table for four without booking, but waited 10-15 minutes. Mains took about half an hour to come out. I had a veal schnitzel ($22). It was a HUGE proportion that came with a salad and chips. The veal was bland, but nicely crumbed. The salad had no dressing as far as I could tell and the chips didn't seem seasoned. Took ages to get the bill. Asked the waiter and after five minutes, we had to ask again. After another five minutes, we managed to get our bill. In all, ok food that is priced well but service needs a lot of improvement.
Approximate cost: $22
We had dinner here last week as we wanted to have pizza but something nicer than a fast food type. We were quite disappointed as the pizza came out and had barely any toppings or cheese on it. Perhaps the regular pizza guy was off that night but I don't think we will be going back here in a hurry.
The lunch specials menu ($15) was varied, with some interesting choices. I opted for a vegetarian dish that was very tasty. Meals were a good lunch size, not huge but filling, and the included drink, a house white for me, went pleasantly with the meal. The children's menu is fantastic, with chips, a drink, icecream and a reasonable choice of mains to suite even fussy eaters priced at $14.50. Staff were very friendly and attentive. A real find.
Approximate cost: $15 lunch
Nice family bistro. I had a very good salad. It's a bit like a La Porchetta but more friendly and homely. The manageress was particularly friendly and attentive.
Approximate cost: $17
Ordered takeaway pizza from this restaurant. The pizzas were ready when promised. Service was efficient and courteous.
