My partner wanted a kwey teo, so I recommended this place based on a previous experience from a very long time ago.
But this place has since gone down soooo much! The kwey teo wasn't even remotely close to the standard I'm used to, and I don't have high standards. Most other quick 'side of the road' places do better, and they're not always that good.
Don't bother with this one

Nice little malaysian restaurant in ascot park. This is the place where I fixed my cravings for malaysian food. My favourite is the asam laksa which is hot and spicy fish brooth with vermicelli. The dish is quite hard to find in outside malaysia and i have to say that they did a great job in making that dish. However, for people who doesnt like seafood, i wouldnt recommend that as the fish taste is quite strong. Instead try the roti or nasi lemak! food is delicious but service is quite slow especially during peak hours.

From the outside this place looks quiet tempting and authentic. However on the inside it doesn't looks as plush as what the outside makes it to be. Very very simple furniture on the inside.
The staff and cook there are Malaysian (I think - at least they look Asian enough) but the food is very average. It seems to be very westernised and not as traditional as I would hope.
If you're in the area and craving for Malaysian cuisine, this is probably the only place you would find it. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to eat their food.

This is the one of the best Malaysian Kitchen I have tried. You can try a lovey skewers, delicious noodles and many more other truly Malaysian dishes. You can have a coffee or tea in Malaysian style too. The very good customer service.

I don't eat much Malaysian but after this restaurant it will definitely make me want to eat more, from calling up the staff were very friendly and even warned me about a strange dish that we ordered confirming that we will like it, food was served hot and fresh and no issues. Will definitely be back
