This playcentre is great for older children, but not so much for the littlies. My four year old loves it, but my two year old gets a little overwhelmed, and the toddler play area is quite small. It is quite an expensive outing, and is the only playcentre we have been to that charges for adults. I really wish they had some healthier food choices.

We booked my son’s party there and was so disappointed by the service for the following reason:

1. Mail: the party package that they sent in the mail contained an old, ripped pre-used $1 stamp. Can the place not afford to use new stamps? It just looks so bad being a business to be re-using ripped stamps. It actually made us question if they were going to go cheap with other things (the answer is yes!) but by that time we already had paid the deposit so it was too late to cancel. In hind sight we should have

2. Kids party food: the kids only get one of each of the party foods – for example if you choose chicken nuggets, pies and sausage rolls, they only get one of each. ONE LITTLE CHICKEN NUGGET. I could understand for the pies and sausage rolls, but for smaller food items like nuggets, spring rolls and frankfurts, it looks so cheap to give the kids ONE small frankfurt! Most other party at other centres have the food in the middle and the kids help themselves. For older kids that is definitely not enough food

3. Adult party food: Most of the platters are bulked up with wedges or fries. You don’t even get much of the actually platter you order. For example – calamari comes with wedges – the majority of the platter was wedges with a few calamari on top. The fruit was also mainly what was ‘cheap’ at the time. So we got a lot of oranges and not much of the watermelon and cantaloupe

4. Lighting: near the play area it is so dark on the bottom levels. My son actually got scared going through it

Also contacted head office and no one has bothered responding

Staff very sullen when we arrived. Playcenter itself is good for older kids. My son is under 2 and played in the toddlers area, however many older children kept coming to play in that area. It was a bit rough for the toddlers, who all looked a bit overwhelmed. The staff came to shoo them off once and then didn't bother anymore. Maybe I'll take my son again when he is older. Othewise there wasn't a big difference between the toddlers play area and the free play area available at nearby Burwood One near the foodcourt.

I found this to be nice and clean when it first opened but it is a typical play centre. They get messy and dirty quick with lots of children. They are quite expensive and can get extremely busy at peak times

I've taken my children here and found it too be quite good. It's clean and there are quite a few things for the kids to be entertained by. Not sure it's that well suited for little kids as it's a little difficult to see where your children are, but at 5 & 7 years it was fine. Very noisy and they do have too many people in there during school holidays.

There are a number of security issues that I need to advise here because they could serious.

Because of the nature of the playground it is extremely difficult to see your child(ren) especially when they go into dark areas that I find worrying. There really needs to be much better lighting and possibly CCTV cameras that the parents can view on the wall when needed.

One other and bigger, there is no security camera going to the toilets. While I am totally certain that the staff have "Working with Children" checks however the parents are an unknown factor. When going to the toilets, especially the parents toilets, I would seriously ask the owners to place a security camera in case something goes wrong and you can easily trace it back. In no way am I suggesting to place cameras in the toilets but a camera pointing to the doors of the toilets pointing to the customers to trace back.

Lastly I find their pricing and conditions way too biased for their business. We are not allowed to take in foods, they must be purchased from inside and their prices are incredibly expensive. They have no pass-outs ergo for sometimes it is required ergo again it only profits Lollipops.

That saddens me as a customer ergo their very low rating.

Approximate cost: $15.00

I think you have to keep in mind this is a play centre and not a child minding centre!
You still have to watch your kids whilst they are playing. Might mean you have to get up a few times to check on them!! If your feeling energetic maybe you can have a slide with them.. Kids love it and I'm sure you would love to see the smiles on their faces.

We've been there loads of times I have 2 kids and I would never let them go to the toilet in a public place no matter where it was.

I'm wondering if you took the time to ask about the food or the pass outs.
That's something I have actually done.
They could correct me on this but I believe..
There are 2 reasons for the food.. The first being a lot of kids are allergic to foods.. It stops the number of different foods coming through the centre to reduce any allergic reactions.. I for 1 are happy for that as I have a child who is anaphylactic.
And the other reason is of course they need to make money! I'm sure you could imagine the rent price and insurance price they would have to pay would be huge!!

As for pass outs it's making you responsible for your own child.. I can't see any harm in that.
I have had a pass out.. I had to go to the chemist for a migraine I had to give my children's passes to my friend to hold which meant she was looking after my child.
I was gone for a total of 10 mins.
I can definitely see why they do it.. People would try take advantage of them and go shopping!

If you happen to have gone back you might see that they are also very generous.
Join their Facebook page they often have pass giveaways and every now and then they have a free night to all customers.

There is such a need for excellent play centres and Lollipoos in Forest Hill have nailed it. From the moment you walk in the door, there is a friendly greeting & staff in uniform who are easily recognisable if you need assistance. We had an incident where a young girl threw balls into the face of my friend's daughter who was in tears as a result. This was totally unprovoked. My friend brought it to the attention of staff & it was immediately dealt with in a professional manner. The staff member located the girl and she was spoken to and ultimately aplogised to my friend's daughter. Great outcome.
I am a coffee lover and the coffee & food were really nice. So, I will be back and will tell others what an enjoyable day we had there. So much so, I am booking my daughter's birthday party there.

Approximate cost: $30

great playcentre, lots of space for kids to run around and tire them out, my daughter loves running around with her friend. I would suggest others to go to this play centre.
