After having owned our little kitten (Pepper) for less than 6 months, my partner and I had the opportunity to go away for 3 or 4 days over Christmas, at a holiday house with a strict no-pets policy.

Although we were both opposed to the idea of taking our cat to a kennel (or any other unfamiliar environment), we were equally nervous about leaving her at home unsupervised. In the end we decided that LPC would be our best option and arranged a meeting with Darryl, who ended up being Pepper's carer for the vacation period.

Right from the beginning, it was clear that Darryl had not only the experience but also the professional approach we were looking for. He explained exactly what he would be doing during his visits to our home, and also went through a checklist of other tasks that we could say yes or no to (taking out the trash, retrieving the mail, etc).

The two days we required visits were on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and (even considering the public holiday surcharge), we are both extremely satisfied with the quality and value of the service that LPC offers. Christmas Day was hot (35 degrees C all day), but Darryl was very obliging in terms of making sure that Pepper was comfortable in the heat; setting the timer on the air conditioner and opening windows as requested. He even offered to visit her a second time that day, just to make sure that Pepper was not experiencing any distress. Very, very much appreciated!

Again, the next day went smoothly, with Darryl texting us regular updates, calmly and patiently addressing our long list of concerns. We are both quite fussy and particular with our expectations, but Darryl managed to cover everything with a minimum of fuss.

Overall, we would not hesitate in recommending this service to any pet owner.

Such a fantastic service, I have had 2 different girls come to look after my dogs and they have both been lovely and always leave a little note about how they are going and sent me sms updates during my trip. So happy with the service and will continue to use them

Absolutely sensational service. We have employed Barb from the Western suburbs of Melbourne twice now to cat sit our two kitties and she is just fantastic. She sends us photos and updates regularly and takes wonderful care of our furbabies. It is clear she has a passion for pets and as we travel a lot, we will now always use her services and the services of the Lonely Pets Club. Very worth the money, especially as your pets get to stay in the comfort of their own home and do not have to adjust to an uncomfortable pet hotel. Thanks Barb and thanks lonely pets club!!

I have now used Lonely Pets a few times, twice in 6 months. We use the same lady Carol each time as our pets know & love her. Once again fantastic service. We receive an update message to let us know everything is fine. We love the peace of mind knowing our pets are looked after, the mail is collected & our home is safe. I trust our pet sitter more than friends or neighbours as she is reliable. Totally recommend them.

Have been very happy with the service we've received from Lonely Pets Club, particularly Marina who we've been using for several years now to care for our many pets whenever we're away. We feel our animals & home are in good hands in her care and she has gone above & beyond for us on several occasions.
