I had read all the great reviews and I was so excited to go here, however I left with hair that I absolutely hated and it was so expensive. I left with bright orange/ red hair when asking for a brown/copper colour. They also left clumps of conditioner in my hair which they had to rewash it 4 times. On top of that they critiqued the conditioner I used and were quite rude about it, I would of been happy to buy another conditioner if they had told me why instead of just saying “ew you use tresame” I left feeling bad about myself and my hair, thankfully someone else was able to fix it for half the price.
I wouldn’t go here agian unless u want blonde or balayage as they seem to do that well!

Have been going to Luxe for years - the stylists are wonderful and the salon itself is really lovely. I feel happy being there!

Another great haircut by Erin (blue hair this time!!)..and am saddened to hear she is leaving...have a great time what ever you do Erin..you will be missed...someone has big shoes to fill!

I visited the salon for the first time today to do a cut/colour/treatment. Kudos to Ashley for the EXTRAORDINARY job. The colour was flawless and turned out so well. As a bonus the customer service was amazing and everyone was really friendly. Will definitely become a regular. So so so impressed.

Has balance of cons and pros. Biggest con: Staff do not really understand how to manage or darker hair. And so ended up with results I wasn't happy with. Biggest pro: I got a follow up call and was refunded. I visited this salon a long time back and have neglected to review it, I went in hoping to get my hair lightened, and come out with a whole new me. The questions I got asked were extremely vague, and it was apparent that the staff assigned to me was still a student, who had no idea how to really deal with darker hair. In the end I came out looking exactly as I had gone in, the receptionist wasn't much help to my complaints. But I do appreciate that I was partly refunded, and did get a follow up call. I don't recommend this salon for anyone with darker hair - there doesn't seem to be much experience on these hair types compared to the other salons dotted around Chatswood. Which I would recommend as better value for money in dealing with lightening dark hair.

Thank you Ruben for a great experience. I rang your salon an hour before closing not expecting to be able to secure an apt , the girl on the phone was most helpful and even though they were booked out and closing in an hour she could sense I was desperate to be fitted in , having just had some hair extensions elsewhere and needing them cut. She went out of her way to ask the manger if I could be squeezed in and came back to me saying if I could get in there within half an hour they could fit me in. I was very happy with my cut, it is without a doubt one of the best cuts I have had...extension hair is very tricky to cut. If they can cut this they can cut any type of hair. Very impressed and a huge thank you to the Lux team who have made a good impression. I am loyal to another hairdresser where I have been going for years but I may make a sneaky visit back to Luxe after this great experience:))

After not being able to get the appointment I needed at my regular salon, I called around and luxe was the only one in the area that could see me at such short notice on a Thursday night. Well, now I know why. If leaving the salon at 10.15pm after waiting an hour because they were running so far behind isn't bad enough, sitting on someone else's hair the entire time and having my hair butchered was. Do these people not clean? I had my cut and colour by the same staff, which just proves why I have always seen people that specialise. I have a random blonde chunk from the streaks staff put in, which just looks awful and after telling staff I have not had peroxide bleach in my hair for years, staff thought staff would do it anyway, my colour took quite a while to do but after 10 minutes that washed it out, I don't know if they did something wrong or this is common practice, As in 15 years of streaks I have never had this heat thing before which I'm sure is now why I have broken ends to match my butchered haircut. great, thanks luxe.

I had a great experience with Luxe on Saturday. They were extremely busy but I didn't get that vibe and my hairdresser Miranda was amazing. She took the time to sit with me to discuss what I wanted and knew exactly what image I had in my head! She washed, cut and blowdried my hair herself without fobbing me off to anyone else. She was busy and her next client had arrived but she didn't rush the cut, she made sure she checked it over and took the time to make sure I was happy and if it was what I wanted. I asked for advise on a product to treat my very damaged dry hair and she went through the best products to suit my hair. I have been to salons before where they rush the cut and haven't listened to what I've wanted and I've walked out very upset and feeling ripped off, but not at Luxe! Highly recommend them.
