Maccaroni Italian Restaurant was a happy little discovery on my last trip to Melbourne, tucked away in one of the laneways. Really hospitable and warm staff, you feel like you are eating with family here. Very accommodating with children, which was important for my husband and I travelling with a 1 year old. Food was really delicious and authentic, I will definitely eat here again.

My Mum and I dined here for dinner whilst on a trip to Melbourne. I googled for an Italian restaurant and this one came up. It exceeded all expectations! A quaint little Italian restaurant hidden in one of Melbourne CBD's laneways, the service was fantastic. They found us a table, even though we hadn't booked. The menu had something to please everyone. The meals we had were delicious and filling, lots of flavour and left us feeling more than satisfied. I really recommend their flavoursome garlic bread, it had a strong but unique taste. The prices are very reasonable and a lot less than some other Melbourne eateries. Highly recommended.

Found this great little place down the lane for lunch at work. Staff were really friendly and nice and the food was filling and delicious. So close to work yet great Italian food is really a wow find. Not the cheapest you will find but one of the friendliest. Also has icecream/gelato.
