I just recently purchased my new car from Makin and Luby (Hyundai Accent). I was fortunate enough to have dealt with Jesse and Terry. They made sure I was taken care of in every aspect and made me feel absolutely comfortable with the new car. Everyone there was excited as I was to be purchasing it. Would highly recommend coming to this dealership.

I have recently bought a new I30 from Makin and Luby. When I visited the dealership I dealt with Jesse Lowe. I explained that I did not have time to waste and wanted the best deal he could offer. Jesse was brilliant, he was fast, efficient and professional. Have not been back for a service yet, but if the rest of the team at Makin and Luby are anything like Jesse, and I suspect they are, then they will certainly continue to have my business . Based on my experience I could not recommend them more highly.

Went to the dealership just to have a look at an Elantra after a salesman at another yard wasn't really interested in what I wanted and tried to push me towards demo models. At Makin & Luby I spoke to a salesman named Joesph who couldn't have been more helpful. Although it was getting close to closing time he listened to what I wanted, insisted that I went for a test drive and didn't hurry me in any way. I ended up leaving the yard at about 6.40pm after signing up. When returning to pick up the car, the Sales Manager Terry took me through the vehicle and I would say that this was the most informative handover that I have ever had. Overall the whole transaction went very well.

Like wise, the attitude of the sales people were the worst I have ever encountered. Forgot about my appointment for test drive, non-competitive pricing (I realise that bought the car for at least 10% more), missing all the extras that I have ordered for etc.

Also, I don't know what wheel cleaning products they used when preparing my car. The paint on my alloy faded after 1 week and they think it was my fault.

The servicing department isn't great either.

I have no problem with the Hyundai i30 I bought from this company. My complaint is about the attitude of the sales staff during the purchasing process and their delivery of the vehicle. They're attitude is penny pinching and non caring once the dotted line has been signed. Five years ago when I bought my last car from a different dealer, I was given slim number plates with clear covers, pricey key chains, high quality mats and an extensive verbal explaination. Not so with Makin and Luby. I not only paid extra for locking nuts for my alloy wheels, but they kept the nuts which had been replaced. Never again, Makin and Luby
